A foreign, mercantile elite hostile to the native people of the nations they now rule over is ascendent, they have completely inverted the traditional morality and turned culture into nihilistic hedonism, engaged in inconoclasm, domestically canabalizing the nations demographically while waging empirial wars for i5real. I hate to black-pill but this is late-stage Empire. The Caesars came in the 19th and 20th centuries in Napoleon and Hitler, and were both expressly put down.

Agreed this is yarvin’s greatest insight. An all powerful state enhabits all “parties” within it. If a unmovable mover is truly unmovable, it has no need to be tyrannical or cruel to those that do not like it because they could not possibly move it, it would be like punching a brick wall

The writ of government doesn’t run terribly far in South Africa. Some people are totally locked down in the suburbs. But the peri-urban poor are still mixing freely, and so the whole thing is a farce. Might still work in a less porous country.
@marhobane3040

@@seanpennatgmail Sure. I mean, there's always Yarvin's notion of "the art of being governed". However, I think my point still stands - there has been an enormous amount of public disagreement within the executive and the NCC which has led to widespread confusion about what the rules really are. Regardless of enforcement capacity, the very top of the pyramid is as crumbly as its base. I think that ultimately the central element is one of consciousness and earnest spiritual commitment. Without that, its just Rashomon with an African cast.

Indeed all ideologues are interpreting events in the world not as they necessarily are, they're wearing their ideological glasses at al times, because ideology almost functions as theory of how things are (plato's cave). @@ivanherrera4235 The theory and the thing which is theorized about both exist in the same space. There is no cave. Everything is true in some sense. The ideological glasses show both a true vision of the world, and a false one, both being equally true, as true as the world itself.

@@altvibr now you see that sounds like some next level shit, because during a debate people present ideas and data to support it, but the source is never dug into or discusse more than superficially. They just talk at each other presenting different facts. I would love a beginning middle and and end where both jointly come to a conclusion to agree or disagree based on reasonable evidence supporting their conclusions. This would still leave room for reader to make their own mind up or look into those sources themselves. I actually like knowing what sources an author or intellectual is referencing. I felt similiarly. I think he was talking off the topics he knew best towards the end. He absolutely messed up his explanation of Optimates and Populares, and thus totally misapplied the terms in American Politics, which is really sad. Because the Duality of those philosophies is actually the BEST way of understanding what the heck happened over the past 4 years in America. Optimates vs. Populares is not blue vs. red, it wasn't Bernie vs. Trump... It was EVERYONE IN THE POLITICAL CLASS (+BLM) vs. MAGA. IF you want a break down, lemme know.
@boc413

@@a.d.3606 I would like a breakdown
@a.d.3606
@a.d.3606 2 года назад
@@boc413 The Optimates of ancient Rome were basically the elites who viewed that power was best controlled through the 'managers' (landowners, higher ranks of military, the clan leaders, etc.) The Populares were those who believed power was wielded through the masses (the plebs, the lower rank soldiers, etc.) Its important to note that neither group was really interested in 'sharing' power with their power bases. They just saw them as tools to consolidate their power. Also, the Populare basically would have used what we call 'populism' nowadays to coerce the 'masses', but that doesn't mean the Populare are genuinely or authentically 'populists' at all. So with that, here's the breakdown of America with this frame work. Bernie Sanders basically has been a populist (or maybe even a populare) on the left wing for most of his career. But his populist approach ended up threatening the Optimate control of the Democrat party in 2016, represented by Hillary Clinton's candidacy. This is why the Democrat Optimates used all of their mechanisms of gatekeeper power to essentially cut Bernie's balls back then, and they made sure he had no chance in 2020 either. This way, the America's elites maintain control of the Democrats to ensure that populism doesn't threaten elite control from the left. Trump and his Maga movement kind of stormed the gates of the Republican party. Remember that the main candidate of 2016 was the prime Optimate of the Republicans as well: Jeb Bush. But Trump obliterated the Optimate control of the Republican party. All the networks of Republican Optimates were disrupted, because suddenly, you have Maga 'plebs' winning primaries in republican areas, beating out the the choices of the Republican establishment who need those lower 'management' positions controlled for their party to be useful to the Optimates. That's basically why Trump's presidency, for better or worse, was constantly attacked and undermined by the corporate and government institutions and the deep state(i.e. news corprations, intelligence agencies, etc...) because all of those institutions for decades have been under Optimate control. For a Populare like Trump to have seized power, represented not just the threat of him going around those institutions power structures, but also of gradually replacing the individuals within it with people loyal to his populist movement (rather than the Optimate power structure). And that's why Trump for example, relied so heavily on Populare power techniques. Like using Twitter to appeal directly to the masses. Or saying viral things that would get views on youtube and such. And lets even talk about how the Optimates and the Populare undermine elections. The American Optimates used Optimate power to try to annul the 2016 election by using their gatekeeping institutional power by creating a bullshit conspiracy theory that Trump was a Russian agent. They used the corporate media and the intelligence services, and lawyers to peddle this nonsense to directly speak to the management class who cared about that kind stuff. Meanwhile, the average American probably didn't really care or even understand everything about Russiagate. Meanwhile, Trump and the 'stop the steal' movement is the opposite. He used Populist power to try to annul the 2020 election by using mass communication and 'people power' to get average normies, especially in the Maga movement, to simply believe that the election was fraudulent. It doesn't really rely on any corporate media, or any instiution. Its mainly focused on podcasts and youtube personalities trying to rally up his base of support to harass officials into investigating the election. I can go on and on about all this. lol but I'll cut myself here for now.

Are you aware of who the dude is? It's not like he's a cryptofascist, he is very openly anti democratic and supports handing absolute power over to a corporate dictator. Have you watched the whole talk?

@@JK-hr6py yes and I've read all of his latest work. He doesn't really have any prescriptive ideas-- such as fascism. Well, he does romanticize formalism but it's too abstract to get anywhere. Recently he mostly goes on about the problems of unaccountable governments and a renditiom of Vaclav Havel's detachment theory. Just because ideas are unfamiliar and seemingly threatening doesn't make them fascistic. He just weaves a different narrative from hardly fringe sources in order to better observe the nature of power.

@@JK-hr6pyGadaffi a dictator but he wasn't a fascist at all. Seems like you've got things mixed up.
