Watch the complete build video for custom building the new 1/16 Halftrack model by Das Werk. The build depicts the SS Panzer Regiment Germania 5th Panzer Division Wiking in Poland 1944. This amazing kit has all the internal engine and chassis details, I also spent a great deal of effort on enhancement with wiring and adding missing pieces. I am hoping this good provide inspiration to all military model enthusiasts with ideas. Your figures skin tones are some of the BEST I have ever seen. The model is amazing but the figures help to make it look even more realistic.

Congratulations on another fine build! Beautifully done once again. I haven't started mine yet but I am looking forward to it. I just finished my Das Werk Stug with full interior forward of the firewall today so the 251 has moved up a notch on the "to do" list.

The 251 from Das Werk really has a lot of details. Additionally, the ones you made make a beautiful model. Looks wonderful. These figures turned out great. I'm just finishing the sdkfz 251 from Trumpeter. It's not as accurate, but it's ok. The tracks seem more correct than in this model, but it lacks the engine and internal details. Congratulations once again on a successful model!

Excellent build, thanks for sharing video. Questions: 1. What is your base color yellow? 2. from your experience, do you think its possible to paint over Tamiya TS-80 flat clear coat? Directly over with new color, or first with fine primer. Sorry to ask questions in your video forum, but it’s difficult to find knowledgeable people to talk to for this hobby.

Hi, really thank you for your compliment! And no worries with your questions, I will be happy to answer all if I could. 1. The base colour I used was Tamiya XF-88 dark yellow 2. I like if better than 60 dark yellow 1 as it is more vibrant and less dull. 2. I don’t see any problem painting on the flat clear lacquer, even with acrylic paint it is still ok. I always use both on my models without issues. Of course putting a grey primer would provide a better adhesion to the cover paint but really up to you. Military models are ok to show flaws as it happens on the real tank during the chaotic environment. I hope you can share and subscribe to my channel.

@@henschelporsche1 Thanks very much for your reply, really appreciate you taking the time. I painted road wheels, lower hull, and rear hull with XF-60 ... and instantly didn't like it. But thought I should keep going, so flat clear coated it. It's a 1/16 Tamiya Tiger 1 RC model converting to a Mid Production version. I got frustrated trying to find parts, along with the XF-60 color ... and haven't touched it in two years. Just rebooted the project after seeing some models painted with XF-88, and figuring out if it's ok to repaint over the flat coat. Thanks for your answer, it helps carry my project forward.

Thanks !! I used Sparmax compressor and their moisture trap. Airbrush I used Creos PS270 0.3mm for camo pattern. I also bought a iwata 0.2 but the effect was not as good as PS270. Hope that helps!!😀

Thanks! I used my ‘license’ to make it my way of weatherings 😂I admit it is sometimes overdone but looking at my older pristinely painted works they just look like model and not a work, between both I would rather pick the dirty one, in fact they are not entirely rust but chipped and grime / dust streak marks. Thanks for you remarks and look forward to have more conversation with you in the future!

merci pour votre compliment et j'espère que vous vous abonnerez à ma chaîne. ces perceuses ont été achetées sur Amazon. ils sont vraiment tranchants mais cassants, vous devez donc être prêt à en acheter quelques-uns pour les remplacer. J'espère que cela pourra aider!
