Custom 12v Install - MW Toolbox 1000mm canopy on a 79 Series Single Cab Landcruiser.

Andy got a off there shelf 1000mm canopy form MW Toolbox. Then set about kitting it out for off grid camping while still having plenty of tray space and light enough to still tackle the tough tracks.

Honestly, Andy ended up selling it for a 1700mm MW canopy. The canopy was great, no issues, just too small for his needs. He bought it initially to save weight as it was permanently mounted. The problem was storage, with a single cab and a small canopy he found more often than not that there wasn’t enough dry storage. He also wanted to be able to drive the hard tracks with as little weight as possible on board, hence the jack off. Both MW’s though have been great Thanks for watching! Richo

Hi, Great video. I used 40mm aluminium square for my base. Just thought you might like to look at my canopy set up and 12v set up for ideas and feedback. Cheers Out There Touring

Hi mate, thanks for the message, the 40mm is a great idea, I used something similar on my Hilux build. Andy's was a bit different as the lip was 90mm from the base, so timber became the most cost effective option for him. Good luck with the channel! Richard
