if recroom added custom outfits it would ruin almost every room in the entire game. Not only will it be difficult to see things with all the bulky costume parts all over the place, but it can cause rooms to not work as intended, and it will make any item in the shop pretty much useless. It will also make recroom look like a knockoff of VR chat and it will lose the special charm it had with it's avatars. I hope this never becomes a thing.
there have been jokes going around on canny and discord about rec room adding shoes to the avetars, because of the shoe in bowling. i dont know how long this joke has been going around for but remeber it died around 2021. basically rec room said they weren't going to add feet to rec room avatars because it would ruin the iconic, current avatars. i dont know if this means anything anymore but honestly i hope it does.
well, rec room has already stated clearly they will never divert heavily from the main character models which are the iconic part of the game, so it will probably be somewhat like custom shirts (super limited with what you can do with it)
disagree, the custom outfits is made using maker pen, and marker pen is totally limited by graphical design, so custom outfits would not go too much far from the already RecRoom design
@@maxizcool2867their outfits will always have lot of polygons and geometric forms like the platform's style cuz players can't make a model with 3trillion of edges dude, as i said before and repeating..they can't go too much far from the art style! if they try it looks extremely gross and bad made
Billy they did a whole creator AMA during the creator conference event where mama monkey and another dev talked about this. Plus that we will be getting custom hats hoodies hair etc.
This has got nothing to do with the new updates and stuff but about the magic marker, will they be adding back pressure sensing? It was such a cool feature to have on a marker
A little comment on the costumes.. During the Creators Conference there was a panel with Mammamonkey and another Dev who were collecting data on the UGC clothing. During that, they asked how people would feel if you could bring costumes into places like the Rec Center, nothings been said since
Showdown being used to show what players could build and then having buggy hit detection and game breaking glitches reminds me of that mayor that claimed some river water was safe to drink, proceed to drink it, and get sick.
If custom outfits can travel between rooms imagine the hell that can break loose with that type of power it would only be a matter of time before rec room completely breaks down and it's overrun by troll suits inappropriate suits as well as other things, they need to focus on fixing the actual game and it's bugs then adding new stuff that could potentially ruin them
this will not be like in vrchat, custom outfits will be made using maker pen so will have the same art design like actual Rec Room props, makes no sense what u said. plus: if it release, will obviously be paid, then u buy it if you want, personally i would love to see it cuz floating hands sometimes make me uncomfortable
I feel like if Rec room made it possible to import avatars from other games like VRchat would completely ruin rec room like if you were just playing paintball and someone shoots you but you can't see anyone because they're using a invisible costume. would you like that? didn't think so. BUT the other way around is different which would be importing rec room costumes to other games, now that I wouldn't mind. I feel that the rec room avatars are perfect the way that they are and don't require any change. and just because I want to, here's a list of the bad things that could happen if rec room allows outside avatars: 1. avatars of different sizes would break the rooms and allow cheating 2. would make the token shop completely useless which also means rec room wont receive any money from token purchase's if players could just find a different game that has all rec room cosmetics and import them to rec room 3. massive harassments 4. inappropriate skins especially for younger players 5. the code of conduct being violated 6. costumes (like the paintball vests)wouldn't work if the player has a different model 7. scripts hidden in the avatars could allow cheating and allow account banning of innocent players 8. avatars with seats would allow cheating 9. even if rec room made it possible to disable outside avatars in rooms, players who didn't know the feature existed and use outside avatars in other rooms would become really annoyed and won't stop until the feature is turned off 10. avatars that change the players surroundings and audio can get annoying and painful for people who have a certain disorder for whatever reason you disagree with me and you think that outside avatars coming to rec room would be the best update ever and that you want to do all the things on the list then you probably make money off of selling the blood of the dead on eBay and throw a party when ever a war starts and deserve to live forever in a room where everyone screams at you and try to eat you leaving nothing but your essential organs so you can forever watch the star wars holiday special (with the credits) inside a spring lock suit that gets set off every 10 minutes with the only form of sustenance being you own sweat and dead skin...
yep, on the last Ink.Tower with glitch theme have a "robotic/bionic" custom outfit, damn i love that so much but makes no sense spend 500-1000 tokens in a thing that will only be able to use on my dormroom
I would love something like the Roblox UGC were theres specific people that make custom community made hats n stuff but I cant really see custom avatars going well
The weapons were made mostly with circuits v2. The only part that wasnt made with ugc tools is the model, so I highly doubt that it will ever come to the maker pen
I hope if they do add custom avatars it’s kinda like Roblox where you just tweak height width ect nothing big like costumes and the clothing warping with it
Wait, there’s supposedly a miraculous ladybug collaboration happening In rec room, that image of the Eiffel Tower could be a hint bc of the setting from the show, it looks similar to the map leaks too
What if you could put a preference/setting that you could either take a costume to this room or not? So if you think players with gilly suits in rec Royale is unfair, you can just not let people take costumes to that specific room.
*cough cough* In ^MurderV3, if any player is wearing the amulet when the game starts, the eye that is found on the amulet shows up in a few different rooms along with some floating crystals in other rooms. Jay had also told me that his team felt like adding the "easter egg" to the room as most of them we're RR Devs (I think) and were given permission or something to add it to the room. Unfortunately, the stuff that Jay told me may be a bit inaccurate as he told me this a few days ago.
i wouldnt like seeing custom outfits come to rec room, rec rooms style is cartoony and i love that alot, but seeing someone come into a rec center for example with a nsfw avatar just makes me think of vrchat. there NEEDS to be a proper moderation system in place for that, and seeing stupid avatars like that already would push me to the edge a bit considering theres barely any filter/moderation with costumes already, there's a ton of nsfw costumes out there. tldr: i dont want rec room adding custom avatars since i dont want vrchat v2, and if they do they need a proper moderation system for nsfw avatars so they dont happen.
prob will have a "verified" system, that will put the custom outfits and custom shirts on top, like it happen on room's skins, so they will have more time to moderate the new ones that people uploaded and put on sale
My kiddos, you have no idea how wonderful it is that RRO don't need to be done in external tools any more - it means RR makerpen and CV2 are good enough. It's akin to a programming language compiler being good enough to compile itself. We're living in the future and you guys don't realize it: RR community made rooms make many games from 20-25 years ago pale in comparison and require no big AAA studios, no pc and no big knowledge of programming languages...
Mate some random person could equip a custom sexy skin and just bring it everywhere (random person invited me to sexybunnyclub and I acadently joined and mate that made me go to a depression lounge lol)
Okay I know that everyone hates that costumes might be coming to rec room, but like- You really don't want to be anything else other than human? I feel like it would be better if Rec Room added a UGC, so that people can actually get items that they want, kinda like roblox. Becuase as of right now, we just have to make due with what Rec Room makes for us, and we don't even get new items all the time.
just because the one stock market guy doesn't like recrooms avatars doesn't mean they can just take our recroom avatars and he is like nudging the idea of "having costumes travel beyond rooms" so they can add it in and ruin recroom In theory if this were to happen I would feel like RR would be a ripoff of VRchat at this point and it would be like finding a needle in a haystack to find anyone wearing the original avatars so if this does happen... #SaveClassicRecRoomAvatars
My personal guess is if we ever enabled costumes across rooms, a room creator could say "Yes, I allow costumes in my room" or "No, I don't allow them" via a room setting. This would prevent rooms relying on the RR avatars from breaking and such
2:50 I’m pretty sure this refers to an event called “projectile hit player” that can be found in the western pvp template but won’t show up while configuring an event receiver
you can get the projectile hit event in other rooms, the room just has to have beta enabled and the event only shows up in player definition boards and the control panel for projectile launchers
DUDE I JUST SPENT 15 DOLLARS ON A NEW OUTFIT IN THE GAME BEFORE I WATCHED THIS VIDEO, but either way i probally wouldn’t use a custom outfit because i like the fact that recroom has its own style
