Great work Brad. I love how you think about the problems and areas for improved performance and implement them. Tight shutting doors, clearing the tires with offset hinges, filler panel with toolbox access retained, rear tilt window with gas struts. All awesome.

Wonderful. A skill and an art, and you've got both aspects well covered. Those close enough to be able to take advantage of your work are fortunate indeed. LOVE the videos, and all the details and insights you share in them. THX!

Looks great Brad. You can tell how much care you take in your customization! I really like the Mirrors inside. I have one of the older design's from you with the mirrors outside. I also like the handle on the window.

we need to figure out how to put an A C in these things without breaking the bank or using something like a roof air. great job also would love to see how you seal between the motor and the dash area to prevent excess heat from the engine in the summer. Ive built my own cab on my m6060 just no doors check it out. yours is much nicer but hey this was my first one

I get asked all the time for ac ,honestly it’s just to much $$ and a whole lot more work ,but yes it could be done..

@@bradgraycabs Thanks for the reply, I agree on the money part. I added a radiator fan above the seat that blows downon the operator it works great not ac but sure beats the heck out of nothing.

Do you guys have test ROPS/FROPS requirements? Just wondering how you get around that. Thinking about fabbing up a more forestry type set up for my MX and I didn’t have to incorporate that crappy factory ROPS, it would help.
@bradgraycabs
@bradgraycabs 10 месяцев назад
No requirements around here, it’s just myself alone in my shop building what I think is a very rugged product that the average person can afford, as far as rops goes I’d rather be inside of one of my cabs than an open station tractor with single rollbar any day if i were to topple over or have something fall from above. Good luck with your forestry rops project I’ve done these years ago and it’s fun stuff basically all around armour for the tractor 🚜 I usually come off the front bush guard with heavy 2’’ square tubing straight back to top of front of cab encircling entire cab then dropping down to tractor frame level and secure, underneath the tractor usually gets a full heavy skid plate, pretty much bulletproof after that

@@bradgraycabs I’d rather be in one of your cabs too. The only issue in the USA is that it’s a big violation of OSHA to allow an employee to operate a tractor that has an unapproved or modified FROPs and ROPs. Plus civil liability. Farm owner can operate them, just not employees. I don’t yet have any local employees but might in the future. I plan to do basically what you describe but I’ll make a new fixed grill guard and might use round tubing instead though I would rather have square…depending on price and availability in my area. Going to check before I buy a tube bender plus dies. I think I’ll run limb risers from the grill guard and tie them into the cage for the cab. And build the cab cage completely independent of the existing ROPS - pass it over the top of the factory ROPS and tie it into the same mounting point the ROPS is attached to. This should allow me to relocated the marker/turn lights off the fender (one is already bashed) into the cage and better protect them (and incorporate work lights).

@@silverbackag9790 sounds like a good plan,if you use round pipe you can buy all kinds of weld on elbows,90*. 45*. 22.5*. ect. Makes life easier good luck with your project I’m sure you’ll do great 👍
