Rory StockThanks :) To be honest I wouldn't want to work for them, not just because I've slightly lost confidence in their merchandise recently, or that my skills are nowhere near to a professional standard but also because having seen the kind of comments some of the fans make the moment they dislike something or having people bombard me with messages saying, "you HAVE to do this" or "Why don't you listen to what the fan's want" would just be WAAAY to much hassle and stress, present company excepted of course :) majority of people on RU-vid actually get that and understand! That's why I like selling some bits on eBay and why I don't currently take commissions, it's a hobby for me and I enjoy doing it, I make what I want to make and sell what I want to sell :) The moment it becomes a job and people start clamouring for stuff you can't give them it makes it less of a hobby and more of a tedious job, especially if EVERY figure had to be different in a little way, even something simple like a slight colour change might take a few minutes per figure, but scale that up to how many units would be made for worldwide sales and it would just not be feasible time wise. Taking the Emperor's guard Asylum Dalek as an example, that was basically just a simple weathering job but to get it just how I wanted it took at least 3-4 hours in total, and that's just one Dalek. Don't get me wrong I really appreciate the feedback and I'm proud that you think my customs are good enough for the real thing! That really means a lot! But to me, just taking commissions seems like too much work and stress for now, so the idea of working for a huge manufacturing company just really wouldn't work! LONGEST REPLY I'VE EVER POSTED! :P

I don't have any plans to make anymore Asylum Daleks in future as I feel I've already done that with making all of these

@@itegsy5464 : Just buying them wherever I could find them at the time, unfortunately there is no single good place to buy daleks and spares, it's just a case of shopping around and seeing what you can find for the right price

Destiny Daleks are actually fairly rare now so if it's in good condition I'd keep it as it is

+PikachuBlaster I drew them on with a needle point, it takes time, maybe 10-15 minutes per stamp, per layer but it makes for a better result I find :)

thedoctor11 Thanks for the comments, sadly the Asylum part is not for sale and I am currently not taking commission for any others, however I do occasionally have things for sale on eBay. I do plan to add a Dalek Sec at some point I've just never gotten round to buying one yet. As for my Handles prop it's made from a Cyberman voice changer helmet, and cardboard, I will be doing a custom showcase video for him soon :)

At the time I made this I was just using an old camera I go from my parents, no idea what make it was, Canon I think

Assuming you're talking about my Asylum Dalek then no, it's the normal skirt but I trimmed off the edge and added my own vertical card section to made it flat rather than sloped

I did, you can see it in the video, the red paradigm with the Dalek tentacles coming out of the top

+Fish fingers and custard Due to the dome being made of hard plastic and not being very malleable what you're trying to do may not be possible. You could try melting it carefully using a hot air gun and then denting it, HOWEVER I should stress that a hot air gun is a proper tool and can be dangerous so that would require parental supervision if you are a younger viewer AND if you are thinking of just burning it over a candle then first this could be just as dangerous and secondly this would more likely to damage the dome rather than achieve the effect you are looking for.

I don't have any plans to make any more of these or any of my other customs for sale, however the Daleks in this video were bought by a friend of mine, to save me from throwing them away, and he did sell some on eBay, if you looked you may find one or two of them still available.

I don't really have any interest in making any more Asylum Daleks to be honest, I have since regretted destroying so many I could have used for other things

In the new series they appear a variety of pink, cream, green and pale blue but in the classic series they varied considerably between various colours, however green is the colour often most remembered by people so I decided to stick with that.

I'm assuming you mean the Underhenge Dalek? Unfortunately I can't review it simply because I don't have one to review, nor the funds at present time to buy one.

+James Kersey It's hard to give you an exact number as I have one box of figure spares, another of Dalek spares, and one more of just misc pieces but they're quite large boxes and pretty much almost full

can you send me a link to somewhere, ive tried ebay. and when ever i look in google. i cant really find any.. i paint war hammers so i have alot of paints and stuff. but i am a mega doctor who fan, from way back when i was 10 year old.. all the 80s and stuff, i have every single doctor who and dalek epsidoes. even the 60s black and white ones :p i just really want to paint daleks.. over war hammers

To be honest after doing this I'm kind of done with Asylum customs, I might in a rare once in a blue moon chance do one or two again but just generally unless I've got the broken parts already spare it's a bit of a waste of a Dalek model that could be used for other things

Terminator Playz No worries, I do my best to answer all comments I get :) and indeed, although atleast half of the ones seen in this video were bought intact second hand, which is probably why it's not something I'd do again now. As I said maybe if I find myself with spare parts, and I do have one more Paradigm one planned but that's because Paradigm Daleks are quite cheap, but just generally because I did so many here I don't really feel like there's much point to doing anymore haha other things await!

A lot of people have often asked or suggested I should do a FA and whilst it's not something I'm ruling out, it's not something you should expect to see in the foreseeable future. Thats partly the reason I've done an audio series instead as it means a lot less production time, almost no cost and I've already got the equipment I need to make it, FA or Live Action would mean a lot more time needed for production, better equipment and overall a lot more money to produce the kind of thing I would want to make

I will definitely invest in a 3D printer in future, as it would be a tremendous help for me, given the price of 3D Printers it's not something I can afford to do anytime soon, the chances are if I do get a 3D Printer it probably won't be for another 10-20 years...unless I win the lottery or get a sudden boost of a million subscribers haha

There's not really any point to be honest, partly because I no longer have any of the Asylum customs, I sold them all ages ago but also because I'd rather keep any Daleks for proper customs as I always look back on this video with a sense of regret that I destroyed so many perfectly fine Daleks that could have been better used for other things. Whilst I am proud of the customs, I can't deny it was a waste of good parts and money

@@CaptainJimiPie I don't think it was a waste. This is a really fun and chill video that I return to often and watch just to relax. You've inspired me to make lots of different kinds of Dalek customs in the past, and I have a collection of Asylum Daleks that's nearly 100 strong. Most of them were made from Daleks that were donated to me by friends, parents of friends, or my followers, and many of them were broken beyond my capacity to repair. They would have gone in the bin otherwise, many of the donors said so, and I rescued them and gave them a new lease of life as display pieces. That would not have been possible without this video to inspire me, so thank you for that. I consider the figures you made for this video to be works of art. There will always be more Dalek figures, but every Asylum custom is unique.

What if Docter who : I don't have any plans at present time or in the foreseeable future to make any kind of figure/stop motion animations, but it's not something I'm against doing. I may do it in the far future but something like that requires funding, space to film and LOTS of time, none of which I have at present time

I'm not sure where you got that date from, CO did a pack of Asylum Daleks back in 2014, but that was only two paradigms & one bronze, no classics were done

A Cyberman Asylum probably isn't something I'd do as it's not really of any interest to me, as for the War TARDIS if you mean an exterior then I've already done on which you can see in my Collection Showcase TARDIS video. As for an interior, i did start one once but it ended up getting turned into my Audio Series TARDIS interior as I never finished it, but I'm unlikely to take that apart now, and I don't currently have another Tenth Doctor TARDIS interior spare, nor the money to buy another, so I wouldn't expect to see me make on in Live From The Workshop, sorry

I don't have any plans to make any more Asylum Daleks simply because I already made so many here and I have better uses for the Daleks these days than destroying them

They were made in a machine and no ailen was in there! There made from a robotic mind!

They were created from a Progenitor device which contains pure Dalek DNA which when it was put into the Progenitor Device in Victory Of The Daleks effectively created a full new paradigm of pure Kaleds Mutant AND travel machine casing to house it in. There didn't need to be a mutant in the machine because the machine created them from the pure DNA.

Hmm clever but you are still miss understood. I don't know what your saying that a tiny device holds 5 mutants. They are made by davros's second device.

+Spike 5688 I'm sorry but you're definitely the one misunderstanding here, not me. Davros says that his daleks were "grown from a cell of my own body". The Progenitor basically works in the same way, there weren't any mutants in there but there was the genetic material/DNA they could be grown from. And even then Davros's Daleks & The Dalek Paradigm are two COMPLETELY different factions, because the Paradigm sees Davros's creations as impure. Seriously look it up if you don't believe me...
