I would look under Bloodydecks.com and look at the rod building section. Tons of stuff on there and thats where I found how to do that. Sorry for the really late response

great job wrapping...it looks amazing! I have just started building rods. It is addictive the further and further you get. Did you put an under wrap on? Also was that shrink wrap or regular wrap (silver checkerboard)?

Kris, is that an alternating black and silver thread in the butt wrap area? If so, where do you get it? It adds a ton of style. Would like to get my hands on some. Awesome build. I don't even want to know how many hours you spent on this.

I used a gudebrod rod wrapping thread that had the silver intertwined with the black already. I haven't built any fishing rods in over 5 years so I don't know if it is still available.
