Quick nitpick... Dolph played Ivan Drago before He-Man. Drago appeared in Rocky IV (1985) while Masters came out in 1987. So Dolph was not protecting Monica from Friends prior to meeting Rocky. In fact, playing Drago is what got him hired as He-Man. Also... Jaw Bridge. 😎
looks very cool. but the backside of the drawbridge looks very unfinished. i guess you could use some liquid foam to ''glue'' the drawbridge to be closed, and if you ever need to open it you can just remove that sculptimold i think it is called with a sharp knife.
It definitely looks cool, but also pretty expensive for the materials used. Also, shipping costs are exhausting to even look at and going to start driving collectors away
I know I'm late with this response, but this is the first time I'm seeing your post.This is a beautiful piece. I have had a resurgence of love for all things MOTU. One of these days, I might try my hand at a custom build of Castle Greyskull. Until then, this is one of the best I've seen. Very inspiring. Glad I stumbled upon it.
Currently planing to build a Castle GreysKull form Scratch set,/Shelf for my Figs and wow, it's amazing what you can really do with foam and how they made this! I'm just flabbergasted! Great stuff. Any links to the Artist?
Looks Amazing BUT I would be disappointed in that door!! Its not finished on the interior & that means can't really display it with the door open.....🤷♂️

Looks awesome, alot of $$$ for the type of materials used. But the craftsmanship is excellent. I also grew up watching He-Man. I used to have the He-Man swing set when I was a kid and it came with battle cat you would swing on!!!!!
That is fucking awesome, and even close up it looks great. It’s foam but you can’t really tell, because the artist knows his shit. The moss effects look damn cool, and so does the door, albeit he should have completed the other side (why didn’t he I wonder 🤔) But keep it closed, and it doesn’t really matter much. Details overall are just great looking. I guess you could easily add extra black netting or some other black material to the back, if you want it more black, personally I would want it less translucent than it is at the moment. When I look at it I think of a movie prop that could be used in a film, It’s extremely well made. And that skull carving btw looks amazing!
Careful, if that thing had any more square footage it would require an address and to pay property taxes. Edit: If it was me I would replace the mesh in back with some black foam board. It won't add much to the weight and it would make the shadows in the eyes and opening a deeper black.

Pieces like this are awesome. Less is more. Smaller collections of larger pieces like this look way better than clusterf@*#k piles of pieces you dont even remember you have.
Is Argentina the He-Man capital of the world? Even their regular vintage figures sell for hundreds more then anywhere else. Seems all the best MOTU comes from there.

I sculpt play sets. I like this Castle But i would have done it way different. The jaw bridge not being finished and not staying in place open or closed. bugs me. As dose the fact it's not playable. It is a beautiful peace. Well sculpted well painted. It's bad ass. Just not functional.
The material is indeed cheap and it was probably 100 dollars material but 900 of labor is a bit much. The door on the inside looks incomplete. The only downside is that 5 years from now that foam is going to breakdown. Sorry is not going to last...😷
I am actually more impress with this castle Grayskull. I think it would look good on a wall shelf. The wall should be painted with the purple sky and blue clouds. Maybe a worn out flag on one of the towers, like the mini comics.
Dude , lose that mesh crap. Stick in some purple and green led Halloween lights , and seal up the back with a piece of black plastic " cardboard " , or paint a thin piece of paneling board black , cut to shape , and use that. Plug that bitch in and Wah Lah , you're in Eternia ! Cool piece !
This looks amazing..wish it was greener for some reason. I kinda like it more than the Classics one! But for the price paid i would have gone with a Snake Mountain
Looks great on video, until you moved it I had no idea on the material. Not a standalone piece but as a backdrop for he man statues in the foreground a must have. Shame shipping is killing everything at the moment☹
I kove that he based it on the Filmation design of Castle Grayskull!! Thats my favorite version of the castle because its teeth make it look more like the skyll of a creature rather than a human

It looks awesome but i agree with you, the door would be better if it was finished inside and also a way to secure it closed. The detail is just amazing
As a kid this was my favorite toy line I would love Masters of the Universe this Castle Grayskull at you have is amazing not too sure about the price though...
This is just the perfect and worthy scale/size for Classics 🤩 love it! The only issue I have with it is like you said the draw bridge. I would love to own a custom Grayskull like that.
It's really nice, but I wonder how long that foam will last? A lot of movie props are made out of foam latex (superhero suits come to mind), and if you've ever collected them, you get to watch them slowly disintegrate over time. Treating can help, but it isn't a cure.
Foam latex for like masks and super hero suits and facial appliances can harden and become brittle over time. Foam rubber like for movie prop weapons and other movie props there tends to not be as much a problem. I imagine this is more this type of foam.
That’s awesome and honestly I expected a much higher price point for all the details it has. My only nitpick is the two massive teeth on the skull on either side of the door. They’re too big and kinda ruin the “skull” if that makes sense. It would be nice if they were much smaller and tighter to the door. Otherwise that’s pretty amazing.
