@@coastalcushionco8227 Awesome thank you! Going to purchase one of those steamers you have also as they look like a great piece of kit. DO you just measure the sections of the door card and stitch them together or do you leave more for an overhang (I'm sorry i'm aware this sounds very rooky I'm brand new to this)
@@LewisAlldritt Steamers are great but you will learn a lot more about the trade if you don't use one. I have been working with fabric for over 40 years and only purchased steamer 3 years ago. The size of the panels need to be correct on the hight in the centre of the card, but when it comes to the extra that goes on the back side of the card alway give yourself more than you think. You can always cut off the extra but you can't add more if you have not got enough. the last thing you want to do is remake something for the sake of a couple of inches. Its a very annoying mistake to make!!!🤯
@@coastalcushionco8227 That's great advice thank you! Very excited to get into this. Don't want to bombard you with questions as i feel awful doing so, In regards to the templates for recovering my land rover seats, is it best to unpick the seat I have so I have individual templates to draw around?
@@LewisAlldritt Ask as many question as you like, sometimes I have video that will explain the answer and I will leave the link.In regard to Patterns/templates This video will explain in depth ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gj20XVm7etU.html
