A 40-foot container *would not fit sideways* -- count the studs. Also in-universe it would require a crane that can rotate cargo 90 degrees and I want to use a normal container gantry to unload the big ships per the worldwide standard.
That would require a crane to be able to rotate cargo 90 degrees and I want to use a standard-style container gantry to unload the big ships. Edit: *Plus as others have since noted, they won't fit sideways in the hull at all.*
Besides, the 40 foot container is 2 studs too long sideways, you can see that the 20 foot ones are 6x8 studs, and the 40 foot ones are 6x16, but the hull is only 14 studs wide ;-) Cool ship overall, very nice interior!
JANGBRICKS. What a cool container ship build. I would love to see you build a version of the gentry container cane like they used at the ports in long beach and miami
This is so cool you should put this and maybe some of your other of your custom builds on Lego ideas 😀 hi from Australia 🇦🇺 like and comment back if you agree
Hey Jang Great build, however some points for future reference. In bridges in merchant navy ships, the port and starboard (left and right) wings are usually empty, as their sole purpose is for viewing.
Hi Jang, amazing job as always! Could you make a building plan for this moc? :) I would love to make it, maybe adjust it a little bit for my needs. :) Hope to hear from you, greeting from Belgium.
I really liked your MOC! It captured perfectly the feeling of these ships! It does look like the ones we see crossing the Panama Canal all the time. Great video!
love your custom builds! The custom builds are much more interesting because they are unique. i like the large vehicles and the planetary defence force stuff the most.
would be cool if you could make a oil drilling platform where the hose is actually going underneath your tables. Those kind of structures are nice to have with the boats whom support them. aswell as a heli platform on it. Also your container carrier needs to be guided in the harbour by a tug
Jang, you should make some foam on the water arround the boats and on the shore, it would look really cool and break the monotony of those blue base plates. Amazing moc as allways btw!
in my personal opinion you need to construct a tug boat for your port real ports have a tugboat and barges you could possibly make a tugboat company dock MOC in your port area given you have the space for it
This is only a suggestion so take it how you please , I think you could build a bank that is being robbed and their are police surrounding the building again only a suggestion
I can see that Lego uses 10x6 containers. But you use 16x6. I guess you can use any standard you like, but the question is still, are there any standards when it comes to containers? The lower part of the hull is 14 studs wide, and that's why Jang can't fit his containers. But the interesting thing is what "standard" is used when it comes to containers.
I love the look of this and how you tried to spice up the inside since the outside is all about function. Loved the coffee pot. Literally drank coffee while I watched this and thought it was pretty cool.
