What I'm more surprised about? That this is a PlayStation Property partnering up with a Toy Company with a complex history when it comes to computer and video games to release a more E-Rated entry level version of their game on a console that is from another different rivaling Entertainment Company. If this sells well and has lasting enjoyability to bring in new fans to this franchise and still be the Casual Player title then that's honestly all i could ever hope for.
2500 pieces at $300 makes it 12¢ a piece. It’s on the premium side, but I’m such a Zelda-sucker that I’ll take the hit on this purchase in hopes that future (and cheaper) Zelda-Lego sets will be produced
i think lego got to pay for the license to use zelda thats added into the price. i can understand people frustration but you do get 2 sets so technically you paying $125 x 2 its not that bad of a price
It's not 2 sets. It's 1 set with 2 build options. You can build the BoTW tree *or* you can build the OOT tree and have a bunch of pieces left over. That's how X-in-1 sets work.
The locomotive being simplified is strange considering the targeted age range but, silver lining, the simplicity might trigger some nostalgia to some who grew up with the original train sets. Although, the fact it can’t be motorized is honestly inexcusable for a $300 set.
The tall neck is definitely scaled up in the game, so I’d imagine the thunder jaw would be too. I think a £300-400 set would price out a huge amount of the potential market, so I doubt it would be that expensive. The tall neck was only £80 for 1200 pieces, I don’t see a reason for a £160, 2500ish set, which would be plenty to capture the thunder jaw. I’d say max £200
My main rule in most things Lego is i only buy Minifigure scale packs(within say 20% as long as it displays nicely), so as nice as that is I'll probably resist it's alure, also probably not a must buy set of Minifigures(just Praji really), always find them on the 2nd hand market unless I see the whole set in a crazy sale in the next year. Also, I still want the Cantina before it retires, so priorities, I guess.
The Hasbro TF nowadays are downright shameful. Cheap plastic to the point that it is almost translucent, hollow just to save on money & extortionate prices. Repaints galore too. Best to just get the Takara Masterpieces which are gems(and don't fall for the hasbro versions that they release)
I really wish that this was Soundwave instead of another autobot. Plus I think that would be very easy to transform I would have liked to seen another faceprint featuring the original G! face. Will get it eventually but once it is discounted
Im building this one right now and did have one major part missing which was the white part on the gearbox that hold the gears in place which cada sent out qite promptly i have to say.The big disappointment with this kit is definitely the stickers as i was going into this with high expectations not to mention the colour of the white writing is really not that white at all going by what they look like on the model in the instruction manual ,the clear backing is just a horrible idea and considering all the things they did to make this kit look so good E.G presentation which is just Beautifully done i just dont understand how they could get the sticker set so horribly wrong! If anyone is building this at the moment i recommend to NOT use the soapy water method for the stickers as it will make it worse i tried it and ruined one sticker and being a modeller and a rc car builder pretty hard for me to do but not with these unfortunately! Be careful when putting the wheels on and dont force them as you may break one of the pins inside the wheel, i also found that i did have some parts left over and some bigger parts which i thought strange so i looked over thoroughly and noticed i had left a couple out so just make sure to check and double check! I really love the look of the car and its just such a shame that the stickers really let it down but apart from that its good build and can be pretty tricky at times !
I wasn’t feeling this at first but the more I see it, the more I appreciate it for what it is. Is it perfect? No. But it’s a freaking transforming Lego set and 10 year old me would have been blown away by this! The great thing about the world we live in is we can all decide how we feel about something and decide whether to buy it or not. No one’s own opinion is wrong for them and we should all just appreciate the fact that it exists in the first place. I’m definitely going to get it. For those that don’t, there’s always another new set coming up soon! Enjoy your day everyone and thanks for your reviews Jang!
The more I see the more excited I am to get this one. Engineering that went into the transformation is pretty spectacular despite the hollow midsection.. Going by early reviews the stability is apparently very good, and transformation is pretty fluid though the ratcheting in the middle looks to be something of a chore. Bee comes with two printed Autobot logos so one can be placed on the chest, and right leg as the insignia has sometimes been present on both. Also replacement tiles for a clean disguised look in car mode. Really don't mind him being out of scale as Lego would never have been able to make the model as complete/detailed if he were any smaller. This I feel is a great compromise as he definitely looks worth the price point.
This design just doesn't look finished. Especially with the double wheels in the back. There's an alternate build to the similarly sized Porsche 911 that looks a lot better
Good quick look. I don’t care at all about stability while transforming or whatever, but these things really need to have posable knees. I understand all the reasons they don’t do it. But whatever. They should still do it.
