Modeling enamel paint works just as well. If you go to a local hardware store, they should also have some impact resistant paint!

After removing the old paint, take some 1000 grit sand paper and rub the bottom of the putter to get rid of some of those light scratches

Great video-just finished my front cherry bombs tonight. Found the bottle lids and applicator tips to fill the letters, but having a hard time finding the bottles. Are they sold as empty applicator bottles? Post a link if possible.

is it a good idea to paint the base colour of the putter? for example... the base colour in this putter is the grey/silver, can i paint it black?

Great job, that looks fantastic. Where did you get the stickers for the putter shaft though. I've got a 98 Santa Fe that I completely redid but i want to replace the Cameron stickers on the shaft to complete the transformation.

Duy, You recommend Tamiya Acrylic... is this a different acrylic than what you use for fine art painting? Acrylic paint used by fine artists wouldn't hold up well against moisture. I would think enamel would be the ideal type of paint for golf clubs. No?

I think it is different? I made these videos like 6+ years ago and I have the same putter and the paint still looks great! But looking back I'm sure an enamel paint would have worked too.

Have you ever paint filled the letters on the grip? I want to paint a different color in the "Scotty Cameron" on the (rubber) grip, but I don't know if that's possible? Will the same kind of acrylic paint work?

Duy tang- after paint the weights I let it dry overnight, upon use the next morning the paint got scuffed. Do I need to let it dry longer than 12 hours? Is there a finish I need to put on it to prevent scuffs?

Any tips on the dots?, I’m not sure if my technique is off. I used a syringe tip bottle applicator and I have a few small bubbles underneath the paint. I cleaned it before I applied too

It's been years since I've done this, but from what I remember, I tried to mix up the paint instead of shake to reduce bubbles. You can also poke them while the paint is wet

I have a Cleveland milled blade putter where the alignment mark is on the sole like your Cameron, but I would also like one on the top line. Have you ever done this? I assume some type of grinding to create the line is necessary. Thanks for the video.

I have a futura x putter and I'm looking to fill some of the lines on it. The putter is matte grey and I'm not sure if that is the metal or if Scotty cameron put a finish on it. Would the paint remover take the grey off the putter? Have you paint filled a putter like this one before? Big fan keep up the good work.

Is it safe to use the paint strip products on black putters as well? I have a black odyssey metalxmilled and am paranoid that it would take off some of the black finish? Any experience with this?

Chad Schroeder I have done this to an Odyssey black series tour designs putter with no issues, if you are afraid using acetone is an option too since its not as strong.

Kieran Smith use 1000 grit sandpaper, then go up to 1500 and 2000. Sand back and forth long ways. Dont sand it short ways.

I've paint filled several of my Scotty Cameron putters, with very good results using tamiya clear colors and paint pens. I do continue to have a problem with the paint fill on the bottom weights. It seems no matter how long I let them dry, if I put them inside the putter cover or use them the top of the clear color seems to get a waffled look. Not cracking, just getting a rough texture which takes away from the point of clear color. Any answers or thoughts would be very much appreciated. It hasn't happened at all with the cherry dots on the backside of the putter ???

Harley Davidson clear coats their paint job with like 8 layers of clear coat, maybe use their method on the bottom of putter

Good tips but horrific cinematography / directing. During half of the operations your hand obscured the entire view. Next time hire a friend to man the camera, so that he can alert your or move the camera, and perform a take-two. Don't mean to be spiteful, but sorry - this quality of this video is not up to RU-vid standard.

Sorry, I didn't realize this was your beginner stuff :-( Ok - I did check out some of your newer videos, and you're right - they are drastically improved - congratulations! When I look at my old presentations from when I was a young engineer, it's embarrassing to read. But as you know, the only way to get better it to keep trying to improve. And I guess if our old stuff were just as good as our new stuff, that would mean that we didn't improve over the years. Thanks for sharing - and now I'll check out some more of your new videos :-)

No worries! Sorry didn't mean to make you feel bad, just wanted to show that I've progressed a little over the years haha. I agree though most of my videos on here are embarrassing to look back on, so I don't watch them back haha. But good or bad comment, I appreciate them all.
