Normally I HATE people messing with something thats limited edition, because it's super rare. But this? This, I don't mind. This is amazing because you didn't paint over Pikachu and Eevee, turning it into just a colored console, you added onto them. This looks awesome!
@@Feezee223 This system was never the same price as a regular switch. It's the most expensive bundle to be released so far. It cost 399$ for this one due to it coming with a download code and the Pokeball Plus. It's had one reprint and after that it's been off store shelves for almost two years. There's a lot of reason while this one as well as a few other Switch systems are worth more now then they were at the time of their release.

i aint gonna lie this is probably the best customization I've seen; i opted for the black joycons and all that, but my goodness this is the cutest thing and i LOVE it.
OH!! Oh my god!! I used to watch your channel all the time when i was starting out with art, I clicked the video out of interest in the switch custom and didn't even realize it was you until the facecam!! It is such a lovely feeling to find this channel again. And the switch is adorable!! I'm tempted to paint mine now

I wish, because with that amount of care and detail to every switch dock and joycons. It would make all the Game Editions way more thoughtful than some art pasted on the switch

I think not fully customizing the dock was the best way to go; instead of completely starting over, you worked with what you had, and still kept that "special feeling" of having a Pikachu and Eevee switch :D
Everyone always focuses on resell value but I never cared about people modifying their stuff, some people don't buy to collect and just buy cause they like and most of the time plan to always keep. I still have all my old consoles and still use them This came out super cute btw
When you were first saying you were painting over it, I was sad af since it was limited and all, but then I realized you weren't painting over the whole design and changing it from eevee and pikachu so when I realized that I felt relieved and love it lol (also I don't buy stuff just to sell it later either but I'm a collector so limited things just hit different idk)

While I love and really wish I had a Pikachu/Eevee Switch since I think the design's adorable and I love the Let's Go games, I really love what you did with yours! Mainly the dock! The way you repainted and gave them so much color is SO cute, and the flowers and flower crowns are adorable! (I hope the stickers on the console don't interfere with your ability to see the corners of your screen?)

Something I am working on right now is repainting bootlegged pokemon figures, and it is a ton of fun! I am not sure repaints are something you do, but your switch repaint is so cute it might be something worth exploring.
I just straight out started laughing out loud at the moment i realized when it was time for the poop bit in the intro(the part where it showed eevee as a straight brown color) loooooool Overall tho, this is an amazing video i just love the animation part to the bits! I've been following along the vlogs so i knew of the bits already but it made watching the finished video even more fun

You can use a spray lacquer to seal the dock. Just make sure you get the right kind (gloss/matte) and make sure you cover the electronics in painters tape.
I'm not sure if I can provide any help but a bit of topcoat could potentially add longevity to your switch dock. This comes from a background of gunpla building, so it may not work in your situation but just something I thought could help!
Yeah. What’s up with that? I have four (F O U R !!) sets of joycons and on each one of them, the right joycon drifts. It irks me. They’re so expensive, they shouldn’t routinely have these problems 😭
Okay so the reason why everyone dislikes customizing limited edition consoles(including myself) is because they're limited Edition. There is only a limited amount of them out there. They only made so many and by painting over one of these. It destroys one of these out there. Only so many were made. Though this one was nicely done at least and it only destroyed the dock so its not that bad at least. Also Next time I would look into buying Resin Casted Buttons. They are casted in the color that you want so they wont be buttons that are painted. So they're much much more durable and can be any color you want. Including Transparent. I have a few sets of them and they are wonderful! Anyways Nice Video
In fact, I think a custom paint work on a limited edition Switch isn't so bad. Sure, it will lose its original value after that, but the less limited edition switches there is, the more people will be willing to pay for the console based on its rarity. On the contrary, you can probably buy bootleg/stock parts online and rebuild the Switch for yourself. Ebay re-sellers, this is your opportunity.
i have a bit of a suggestion!! if you have access to a computer with bluetooth, you should install a program called Joy-Con Toolkit. it allows you to change the internal colors of the buttons and shell of the Joy-Con and Pro Controller. it makes the little animation of docking the Joy-Cons match the outside color of them, as well as showing them as the custom color on the controllers menu!
I'm artsy and I honestly was just terrified of ruining a $300 system plus I tend to get tired of what I paint on my Polaroid and sell it to buy and paint a used one. I didnt want to go through that with the switch , so I got a vinyl that can easily be switched
can I just say as someone whose instinct was "ahh no not the limited edition console!!!" ....... I'm absolutely floored and I'm halfway through the video. this looks so stunning and definitely feels like an upgrade to the original design!!!!!
3:42 Hey! Not trying to come off rude or a hater Love this but as a painter myself I just wanted to say a idea! Instead of going around the tiny parts of anything that can be easily. Messed up why don't you Tape it? And just remove when done? Thought I should share this cause this method has saved me number of times
