Mike, Leave the horns. The visor looks great! And if your gonna put CB antennas on L&S. You might as well put a radio in it. You might need it one day for an emergency. Or traffic info.

I think you should consider getting a couple of pool noodles or some foam pipe insulation to wrap the uprights on the scaffold. It would help to protect the cab if you bump into it.

That visor is way better than I expected because it is relatively restrained. Horns doing no harm up there - leave them be. Treat the C13 to a set of new rings and shells while it is apart. Everything else should be good to go. Save opening it up later.

Always keep the back up alarm connected. You can put it on a toggle switch so you can shut it off when you want. I did that on my pickup. Keep the air horns. Put a 5 trumpet train horn on the side of the frame. There very loud.

Mike, the visor looks absolutely spot on, just enough. I think a peak would spoil the straight lines of the cab too, so it's perfect. I would leave the airhorns of the roof where Peterbilt put them, maybe a bigger set if you don't like the tone of them. Well done on another scary job, I wouldn't want to be drilling holes in my cabover.

I'm not a driver but I've always loved trucks. The visor looks great! If it were me, I'd keep the air horns on the roof.

Keep your air horns Mike. Maybe locate some covers for them. Find you some Alcoa aluminum rims for the front to match the ones in the rear, as well. If you mount aerials, you might as well invest in a CB because they do come in handy if you or someone else needs help while out on those roads up there in Canada 🇨🇦 sir. I like it! Bigger than the factory visor, but not stupid looking big. Looks practical and custom at the same time. No, leave the roof air horns. Big, classic trucks need roof mounted air horns.

Mike: I love the visor your right its just enough drop without going too far! Your not a "chicken hauler" so don't try to get your fleet looking like they run California! As far as horns You have to keep them!! Its not a 352 Pete without air horns. On my truck my horns were tunable at the bell end. Simply by turning the bell in the bracket which is threaded in the base you can change the pitch! But overall you are on the right track to make Low and Slow the Crown Prince in the Mike fleet!!!

I like it a lot and I agree with you that it's just enough! Not too big or too long and seems you should still be able to see just fine. My opinion is straight across looks nice, leave the air horns and definitely add the antenna's, even if you don't have them attached to anything. Great job!

Looks great Mike! I think Low & Slow would look great with 385's on polished alum front rims.

Find some covers for your air horns to keep the bugs and rain and snow out of them! Visor looks good! Get your aluminum rims on the front, and another stack, and Low & Slow will be looking good! Nice job! A little trick on your air horns to keep them sounding good, take a rubber hammer, or a rubber handle on a screw driver, and have someone honk the horns while you tap on the top of the rear of the horns, to help dislodge all the bugs and dirt and crap that gets stuck in them over the years! You will thank me later!

Visor looks Great Mike , I was hoping you'd leave the stock one on but with what you went with - not overly obnoxious dropped like some - I like it , I'd put some covers on the existing horns and leave those on , like you mentioned , aluminum front wheels and bumper flaps L&S will have "" The Look "" , btw Awesome Job one doing a 2 person job mostly by yourself , GREAT PATIENCE , 👍👍👍👍.

I can spend all weekend and not even see a peep of my wife, not even to check to see if I'm still alive and not passed out from the heat of summer. Which happened a few times.. lol Oh.. also they have a 1969 Kenworth daycab (no sleeper) with single rear axle down over in Texas for $300..

Mike that visor looks great ,an idea for your cb antennas how about the ones that light up at night they look kinda cool lots of trucks have them on here in Australia.

Take the horns off and add a few lights. Also just put a switch in at the back up beeper so you can turn it on if/when needed!

Shorty Pete should get a longer frame and some show quality paint. I know there isn't a movie for that style of Pete yet but... dang son... she's a Beaut! Is that an N14 in Commodore STubbs there as well? I can't remumble... derrr... Hot sauce going to get a bit of touch up work with some resin and a little glass maybe? I mean that truck is all there for sure. A good place to put another Cat if that series 60 engine is a deep sixer.

instead of rivets or hucks use rivnuts (or nutserts) so you can bolt it on and of as you want and swap it out if necessary without further drilling, and if done right they ain't leak also. For the distancing just put 2 washers on and use 2 nuts on one bolt inbetween. AND the revers beeper is important to the DOT to have, but you can put it on a switch to shut it off.

Square airhorns would look good it would be symmetrical with the square headlights.

Visor style all depends on how you want to sit ... If, like me, you like to sit up with as much leg extension as possible to stop your knees from hurting, you run a flat visor and look out through the upper windshield. If you want that down low punk look, well then drop visor is for you.

I would wrap it wit a classic Peterbilt stripe.
