Peterbilt salesman and family man with a love for all things automotive, born and raised in the trucking industry. Dad bought his first truck the same day I was born in 1972. It was an A model Kenworth W900. Many weekends were spent helping dad service and work on his truck. He had many different trucks over the years with many different models. Everything from a cabover Hayes, 359 Peterbilt Logger, LW Kenworth, W900 KW, 389 Peterbilt, T800 KW, WS 4900s, Freightliner Cabovers, C500 KW, Freightliner FLD and 388 Peterbilt's. I am a truck guy with an appreciation for all models and OEMs. Growing up in the 70s and 80s was the best time in trucking with all the iconic models. Truly grateful for the experiences and knowledge from growing up within the industry.
I have driven and owned my own truck. I got out of trucking and into truck sales after the downturn in 2007. I have now been selling for Peterbilt Pacific for 10 years.

Mike, mistakes are part of life and we all learn from these mishaps. You got up from your fall and continued with the plan. Continue with your projects! I appreciate your time and effort into these restorations. Be safe and thank you for videos.
The Best Cheapest thing to use for tire mounting, go to your local store where you get your Laundry Detergent, and buy the absolute Cheapest stuff they have, mix it with Water, and Bam! It’s as good as Murphy’s.

Mike I thought you would have a beautiful fleet by now, when I left you had Smokey and two others and you had swapped houses with your dad and you are still under training, happy truck buying.
Even after having to pay for the mistake could you get all the parts you need to do Kenny the way you want for the same or less just based on what I see where I live I still think it was a great deal
That spill was overrated, the company that charged RB took them to the cleaners. No way in hell would it cost 6 grand to clean up a diesel spill that barely leeched into the ground. They could have taken a tiger torch and burned off the area. Scraped up the inch or two of messed up gravel and put some new roadbase down. What came out of that tank was probably 90% water. If it didn't have a strong odor of diesel. These environmental companies like to hose people make a big deal over nothing. Hate to see you got pegged with a 3 grand bill. What was your old man trying to do stand the old 580 on one wheel 😂
So lesson learned if a stripped down To frame truck still has a fuel tank on it check for fuel . Mind you I wouldn't be surprised if it was mostly drained by the owner and most of it was water inside that tank .
No low pros looks goofy on that truck and on A side note don't use acetone to wipe down your parts before paint I always use lint free cloth and prep sol or pure mineral sprits and if you can hang your parts upside down to dry dust falls down not up just some suggestions from A guy who has learned these things the hard way
You’re an honorable man Mike! The way you stepped up & honestly took responsibility for what happened! And, for Miss Andrea keeping spirits up and not blaming you for making a mistake, my hat’s off to her too! I’m kinda anxious to see Kenny go through all his transformation, with all these parts you have gotten for him! I just know he’s going to look amazing when you & your Dad get him done! Keep your chin up brother- it’s all going to work out great! (Also, with words of experiencing these same words from other people, “ learn to forgive yourself!”)
