Here to show you guys how you can protect your custom shoes and sneakers. I've been using Angelus Matte Finisher for quite a while and it had never failed me so feel free to try it out! Subscribe for more content! IG: @charli.ang
Not a single youtuber has explained it like you did. You truly explain the basics ,which are really important for beginners. I am a beginner n thanks for the video❤️
@@charlieliangI was wondering do I have to have white shoes or can I use shoes that have some white. Also should I use spray paint or paint because I want the color silver so I’m not sure what to do
An Angelus rep advised me against using a heat gun or hair dryer but the preferred drying method would be sun and air dry... longer but it prevents cracks.
Pretty useful video thanks bro. Do you have a video for customising any type of shoes with permanent MARKERS? Or at least a video to make the marker drawings on the shoes permanent. Once again thank you for your detailed videos.
Wish i would have seen this when i was making SSJ Blue Goku shoes. even used my expensive glow in the dark blue paint too. I was afraid it wasnt heat set all the way. Ran my heat gun over it as best as i could for it. but my heat gun can achieve 500 degrees. That is TOO MUCH to put on rubber so........i did my best. But i couldnt call them complete without a water test. .......so i tossed them in the wash. came out like i expected. But the thing is..........im not using the Angelus brand. Working with straight Jaquards since they specialize in Textiles and i was putting this on a pair of Converse. I just picked up their air fix. Imma give this a go within the day. Wish me luck. If not........then im gonna have to just go with the Angelus brand.
Lk shoes topcoat is the best, and the chipping is because the material need more prepping, use sand paper and adhesion promotor if using a airbrush doing jobs with paint brushes let the aceton dry for at least 10minutes, angelus finsihers are trash compared to lk top coats
Ok so I painted a splatter pattern on white converse. When I put a dab of the finisher under the tongue of the shoe to test it there’s an obvious dark area. Long after it dried. What do you recommend for white converse (chucks). Definitely not comfortable with putting this finisher on the visible area of the shoe. Definitely not drying clear
I did a custom on some white vans they dont have leather more like a cloth material i used sharpie pens the art work is good i sprayed Rustoleum clear coat how many coats would i need to spray b4 i could wear them KUTGW BIYAOW VENOM OUT!!!
I mean the finishers don't really help big time when it comes to making them durable it's all about your preparation of the shoe at the beginning if you do that right along with giving your paint to dry correctly in between coats thats what really helps making the shoes durable. Great vid tho on breaking down how to dull out and use the finishers 👌
I think Im having that problem....I think I didn't prep them correctly neither did i wait for oaint to fully dry to apply another coat? Any idea how to fix this?
@@LorenaLopez-qj7sh just make sure you prep correctly. What I use is a scotch rough pad with acetone at first then I sand the shoe down and then go over it with acetone with a cotton ball after to clean up the sanding and stuff again. Their is a guy named Dejesus Cusoms or something like that look him up on here and he will show you exactly what you need and how to do it properly.
@@LorenaLopez-qj7sh I also would wait about 15-20 mins to let it dry and make sure you do light coats of the paint as well I don't use a heat gun I let them dry naturally
I'm going to try for my first time now and I can't decide what I want to draw 😢... should it be a Naruto character, or a K-pop band, or from a fav movie, or a fav book, or a game... I can't decide 😫
I messed up, i didn't have duller so i didn't use it and my shoe ended it up shiny as hell. How can i fix it? Should i just paint another layer without varnishing? P.s. i used matte finisher not glossy.
Can you suggest something for fabric sneakers? I made my first custom shoes and I used Copic Sketch Marker. Is there any specific sealer for it? Acrylic sealer good for this too?
I have a question, if I use any type of cleaning supplies because I might actually go out and wear my custom shoes, will the paint still be on the shoe when I clean them?
I felt I did everything right on my first custom on a Jordan 1, however after a couple months of light wear a small crack of paint has chipped out, do you think I didn’t prep the shoe well before the paint? As I have been taking care of them when wearing
Elena Garcia oh I only use it for the matte finisher. It seems Angelus Paint has two types -> regular colors and “matte” colors. For example, “Black Paint” is more glossy than “Matte Black Paint”. Some paint has a matte look even if it doesn’t specify “Matte”. Just try a small drop on your shoes before using the duller :)
