sup dude. We talked before as I was the second owner. I redid alot of the things you would have also changed during the process. completely redid the entire car tbh. But to answer your question, the guy that bought it on Cali still has it as i sold it to him minus new wheels and a new grill. I had the car completely apart and back together for a big show within 2 weeks. miss it but i agree with alot of what you mentioned during the build process.
I remember our talk, I remember you saying that you took it to shows too. Do you have any pics of when you had it? Always curious of the changes. I wonder if the new dude has any plans for it
Hey guys love to work you guys did on the blue xb I'm in the market for one now and I was wondering where can I get my hands-on that Bearded panda sticker from my back window 😊
If you don’t mind me asking I’m interested in buying a xb and doing this conversion myself I have reasonable automotive knowledge and know some ppl that can weld for me how much would it cost roughly to do only the “truck conversion “
Question for you. How did you plan on ever changing the tail lights or shocks? Obviously the fender wells aren't removable. I'm doing one now and have seen a lot of people just weld panels in and use trailer fenders and just weld those in. So I'm not sure how you could ever change the shocks or tail lights or bulbs for that matter. Can you help me out with that?
My shop didn't do the build. But if I remember correctly, a section of the inner rear fender was removed so that you could remove the top nut through wheel well access. The rear taillights - nuts were replaced with plastic push screw rivets/ push in fastener so that the taillights could be pulled off. I suggested other ways, but they wanted a smooth, seamless trunk.

@jersonxb81 how many pounds of boost are you running? The gen 1 engine isn't really built to take a high psi. I've seen one guy run it safe with only 3 lbs of boost.
