Very helpful video mate! I was under the impression that there was some metal to remove before the plates would fit up inside the chassis leg but you have done the job without having to grind anything out! Nice one!
@@PranceProject well, I'm deffo going with the 5" Faulkners as they've got great reviews. Had some imput from Shane, and as my LWB is pretty much a day van, that can be slept in, I'll probably go with 1100 springs. Shocks will probably be the short Gaz adjustables. I've seen a thread about their mounts snapping which made a few people nervous, however, on asking about, I believe it was due to poor installation techniques.... While I'm doing it, I'll be replacing bushes too, probably just with OEM type, as I'll want her to have slightly more 'give' in those areas, so it's not causing slightly more unnecessary shock stress on other components that the stiffer poly bushes might cause....... After all, she's a van, I don't need her to corner like she's on rails😉
So will new shock mount give u more drop I guess my gas shocks fitted by garage seem harsh compared to ones that were on standard I guess the garage did job think they use kyb gas front an rear but lowering spring I got from cmc is too low it’s 60mm sent guy photo but it’s catchin on tyre on bumps etc they said can exchange for 40mm drop one ☝️
It does give alkttle drop but on like 10mm max nothing really, there more made to improve the ride quality. Your wheels must be wide with big tryes to be catching on 60mm springs.
