You should add a "Jazza's Choice" square on the wheel(s) so that you can either choose the painting you like best based on what topic you land on, or choose the topic you like best based on what painting you land on. Give yourself a little freedom and make it more fun for you.

I grew up in auction houses and am still heavily in the auction and estate sale scene. Fun fact for the “what if the artwork is worth a ton of money” camp. That era is pretty much over. With everyone having access to the internet, finding these hidden gems is even more rare than before the internet. Even places like Goodwill in America check prices on eBay for every art piece like this that comes through the door. If it’s worth anything they’ll even list it online themselves. Most of these pieces end up ripped apart by people looking for hidden cash or only want the frames. And if you see certain authenticity stickers on the back. That’s a good indication they are fakes from the 1980’s sold at house parties. Just be careful and happy hunting!
@WarpRulez
@WarpRulez 11 дней назад
If it's just a printed-on-canvas cheap copy, then destroying it isn't much of a loss. It's sadder if someone does it to an actual painting, something someone actually created with their own hands.
@annbrookens945
@annbrookens945 10 дней назад
Those 1980s house party paintings were actual hand painted canvasses, just done in a shop turning out lots of quick "art".
@JS-yg6nv
@JS-yg6nv 10 дней назад
@@annbrookens945spot on! They were usually painting in South America. But they would sign the pieces with more well known artists. Some I’ve seen a ton of recently are signed “Cockx.” However, Marcel Cockx never painting in the styles I’ve obtained. So when pieces like the ones in this video are updated and repurposed I think it’s a great way to keep these artists’ original work alive and outside the bargain bin.

@@WarpRulez Is it? I think Jazza gives the paintings a new life. They were already in a thrift store, obviously nobody cares enough about them to keep them around. Now they've been modified, and I'm sure many people watching would be willing to pay for them, and hang them in their homes.

I personally find this as a way of respecting the first artist's art by transforming it and keeping it from languishing in a charity shop or being thrown away. It's like that Freddie Mercury quote, "You can do what you want with my music, but don't make me boring." 🥰 Totally get that initial 'oh no' feeling though when you transform art

Part two or we riot 😂 I really like this version of the challenge, I like you having the freedom of choosing a world to base it off of. The only thing that could go one step further in my opinion is to add a specific character into the scenes - oooh it would be fun to do a “find it”. You (Jazza) know which character you want to add but the audience has to guess based on the clues you leave in the piece. We’ll call it “Paint Theory” 😂😂

My head cannon for it is the Hobbit is Sam’s great-grandson, who has spent all afternoon sitting behind the Havens watching the last ship take great-grampy Sam into the West where he’ll be reunited with Frodo. I thought the Diablo painting with the most transformative, really cool!! The Looney Tunes painting was the most fun, and the Into the West was the most emotionally satisfying. I do like your vision of the "heaven" of the elves, and it kind of suggests that the young hobbit looking off into the distance is imagining what it would have looked like based on the stories they had been told from the Red Book. I will say though, that I would have overpainted the beach in the foreground and replace it with the close up of the prow of the Elven ship with Frodo and Bilbo getting their first glimpse of the Land of Valinor: "the grey rain-curtain turned all to silver glass and was rolled back, and he beheld white shores and beyond them a far green country under a swift sunrise". And as you surmised, there would also be an established Port to receive the Elves who chose to leave middle-earth. Lovely work on all of these paintings!!

Love this concept! The Blizzard / Diablo one is my favourite, it’s the most modified one while keeping the elements of the original piece, very satisfying to watch

I really enjoy this video, thank you. Of course I have been a advid watcher of your videos for years now. As a painter and artist myself I really enjoyed just watching you paint something, and I learned a few new techniques: that I'm itching to try. As a content creator, we so often get lost in the hype and giving our viewers what they want. It's so nice every once in a while to do something real. (And by that I mean something the artist is actually inspired to create.) I could really feel your enjoyment in the last piece and the piece shows it.

I loved the first one. I think you should do it without the spinning wheel and just choose whatever you feel that it's going to fit the better
