I like how it continues the floating appearance!! Nicely done. 👍 A consideration: Add a back or a small board across the back of the shelf. I would need that to help keep me from dropping things behind the bed.
You could build an electrical socket into that shelf area for a phone charger. Or build an inductance charger flush with the surface of the shelf. The build--both the bed and this--look great!
Great job man! I’m going to try this pretty much exactly your plan but attempt use the bottom of the shelf as a secret door for a bit of storage space. I’ll have to put a hinge on that bottom piece and customize the support bracket under it to fit a box type build. Thanks for the plan man!
That is so nicely done. And with minimal tools and materials that everybody could afford. When working with stains, especially two tone such as this, I found it best to sand the wood down to the finest grade you would go for (for me furniture is 400grit) and then stain, usually leaving it just a tad longer before wiping it. Adheres better in my opinion.
very nice...what would be cool is those old forged iron nails in it, not really holding anyting together but just to make it look that gothic look. Anyways love it! and yes 2 tone burnt wood look is awesome!
