Let's see what goodies we can find in 50 rolls of Pre-1989 Customer wrapped penny rolls... We know we're going to find a lot of the copper cents but will there be other treasure finds? Keep hunting and good luck! They're still out there for us to find! I live in Iowa. Iowa is largely in the same part of the country as St. Louis. I see mostly Denver coins, probably about 66-75% of the time, with the rest being from Philadelphia. I do occasionally see a San Francisco coin.
I just recently dumped a huge amount of copper pennies about 6 months ago ($600) that I bought off of ebay and I cherry picked them. But these aren't mine😂 I definitely would have noticed that 72 ddo but did also find one.
I wonder what happened to your channel? I haven’t seen you on RU-vid in quite a while probably open as close to eight months to a year. Good to see you back at least on the page of RU-vid.
Yeah that was fun. I have gotten 25 pounds of pennies from a friend who didn't what to check them. I said how much? free 🙃 not 1 wheat cent. Lots of copper. Nothing special either. But still free you can't get mad at that.
@@oganesson7255 I’m only 16 and I will probably be alive when copper pennies will be rare. There is also a good chance they will eventually get rid of the penny because people don’t pay cash anymore.
@@BGTech1 well, you see,I’m a kid. so I don’t have a car, of course. and EVERY SINGLE bank in a few mile radius all knows me and had zilch in their vaults. some farther banks had some rolls but will only give one roll to one customer per day, but in my opinion, walking like five miles for a single roll of coins isn’t worth it. so rip:(
You don't need to weigh cents to discern between copper and zinc composition. Simply dropping them on a table will work. Copper cents sound very similar to silver coins, producing a high-pitched "ting" upon contact. Zinc cents produce a dull, lame, "thud"-type sound upon contact.
I know. But many viewers might not be able to distinguish the difference so weighing them at least guarantees the composition (minus any possible wrong Planchets). To be honest, I can usually discern between them simply by the look as well but have been wrong on BU ones.
Rob could you please send me a one dollar star note ⭐️💵🌟 to me please. So i could added the star notes to my collection please, You’re my best friend you know. 😀😄❤️😌☺️🙂🥰😍😁😚😘😙
@@henri1171 it’s to get a better idea of how much copper he gets from each box. I keep a log of how many pounds of copper I get per pox and it would be interesting to see how much he gets per box.
Hey Rob, just started coin roll hunting, do you have any tips and tricks to get good coins? I’m looking through mostly nickels and not sure about buying pennies because of so many valuable dates. Love your channel!
A month ago i bought a 1875 Indian head for 2.50$ with readable date and its not in the best of shape but still good enough for the book, if you want i can send you a picture on Instagram.
One day I go into my local TD bank, and the teller says to me hey I know you like pennies, someone turned in over $800, so I took as many as I could and they were ALL zinc, with the exception of one box that was ALL copper. Worth it
