OMG I love this tutorial. Straight to the point. Every video ive ever watched said you had to let the spray paint / spray adhesive gas off overnight before applying epoxy. I'm not working with that much time before Christmas. I'm also using britetone epoxy free sealer. I'm just doing glitter and vinyl. Hopefully, it works out. Thanks!

I just buff them clean with a soft rag that won’t leave fibers before I start working on them.

It’s a personal preference for me if I am using a metallic chunky. I just feel it gives the epoxy something to hold onto.

You definitely can if you’d like too. I just wiped mine off with some rubbing alcohol.

So cute😍if you wanted to put glitter only at the bottom of the cup, can you just put epoxy on the bottom also or do you have to cover the whole cup with epoxy?

Thank you, Donnesha! I’d you’d like to make an ombré I’d epoxy the whole tumbler so you don’t see where the epoxy ends. If you’d just like a full covered bottom you can tape off where you’d like the glitter to end glitter it and peel the tape for a straight line.

How do you like the pumps on the epoxy bottles? Are they easy to clean when you have to start a new bottle? Or do you just transfer them from the empty to the new?

Where do we get the football that you use to hold the tumbler and also did you prep the tumbler with sandpaper like youbwould for the stainless steel tumblers? Love the video

I get my footballs from the dollar store. They are in the kids toy isle. The ones that are fully painted you can scuff up a bit to prep, but the one with the clear top and ombré glitter bottom I just washed with Dawn dish soap and dried it really well before epoxy. To help get any oils from the factory off.

I don’t see why not. I just liked doing the epoxy method because it makes the glitter lay flat.

On the waterslide paper what you put and on crackle cup did you just print in in your printer and than soak in water or did you spray anything else on the boot image ?

I printed my my image onto the waterslide paper, then I gave it a good coating of spray sealer, let that dry completely, cut it out, and it’s good to go 😊

Tiffscraftingcorner I use Rust-Oleum’s 2x ultra coverage semi-gloss clear. You can purchase it at Walmart for about $3

I do wipe the surface down so there are no fingerprints. And depending on what I want to do I will scuff the surface up if needed. Like the crackle painted tumbler for example. Because it’s fully painted I did scuff the surface up very lightly giving the paint a little grip onto the tumbler.

How long did u leave tape on after u epoxied if using quick coat, should I take off after 30mins?

For quick coat I’d take it off right after you’ve applied your epoxy.

How many layers of epoxy do U do.. what would happen if u only do 1 layer at the very end?

You could do one final layer if you choose. I just feel more comfortable with it lasting with 2/3 final coats. People are rough sometimes on their tumblers slamming them down, or dropping them. So adding that extra coating just protects it just a little more.

The epoxy I use is 1:1 so if I wanted 10ml I would put 5ml of A and 5ml of B to make the 10.
