Using a machine to cut doesn't mean the meat is destroyed. How do you think store are selling the pre cut ones? Ofc not slicing my hand. Pretty ignorant comment
You aren't supposed to cut all the meat at once, slowly cut what you need and store the rest covered by fat and skin in cool dry place (not in the fridge)
😲But you destroyed the art of cutting and serving a Spanish ham . I thought you just wanted to cut a piece or too for later consumption and leave the rest on the ham holder . When serving the ham , it has to be sliced thinly with that long , thin knife from the ham holder - That’s how you enjoy the ritual of eating a Spanish ham .
You are 100% right. But the proper way does work for our small family, we don’t eat Spanish ham everyday, it’s just treats for special occasions. I had one left on the holder, ended up 50% went bad.
