I kinda wish we got those extra styles for Noob and Smoke, but I understand why they may have wanted them to be a duo instead. Also that worm thing in the Katacombs stage is so cool!
I kinda like the contrast between the unfinished DA's stages and the characters models. It serves to appreciate their work behind even more. As always, a great video! It's really cool to know about cut content in general, but even better if it's MK :')
Not gonna lie I originally came for the Ultimate Mortal Kombat Deception content but I'm more interested in lost Mortal Kombat media. The cut content is pretty interesting.
I like how the font of the fighting styles was still the green one from Deception. It reminds me of the very first revisions of MK2 when it had MK1 lifebars and likewise, MK3 had MK2 in the early development.
Some of the videos you can find on Armageddon's Krypt (particularly the Rain Kick Blooper and the Voice Acting Sessions) has them still using the Deception HUD/lifebars as a leftover.
@@UltraZeroX7 right, that suggests they started building Armageddon using Deception as a basis. No wonder why ermaccer found the Nexus stage as a leftover.
frankly not much left to cover from 3d era lol, only things that are left is to figure out more konquest stuff (and thats tedious) and unused animations
Love this. Still the biggest heartbreak to this day was the fact that Kitana had no fan toss in MKDA, or that she wasn’t playable in single mode Shaolin monks with upgradeable moves. Even on the cutroomfloor level she doesn’t have any of those moves! I feel like you could become the next big cutroomfloor/gamer channel for 3D MK. Add in some trivia via a microphone voice over or text, talk about some obscure content from the 3D era, dive a little bit into the code to explain it all (using common terminology of course) and you could definitely fill a niche that hasn’t been filled yet. Love these videos. Never forget 3D Kitana or the mystery around MK Deception! 20 years later and I’m still mad there’s no super unlockables
I have seen the pre-release trailer years ago when i got the game. and I thought Smoke could simply have another Pulse Blade like Sektor and Cyrax. for Noob Saibot having his trident Instead of his hammer Will be good enough.
W video would also love to see in the future a mkd or mka style game with more outfits and more characters I know you already said it’d be harder to do the outfits but nevertheless I’ll be on the look out
Its interesting that in early MKD Noob Saibot and Smoke had weapon, iirc Raiden wasnt planned at all right? That would explain why in Konquest mode the Raiden we fight is the MKDA one. I mentioned Noob and Smoke weapon, if they have thought about it in MKD, why they didnt add it in MKA? Noob got a different weapon (Troll Hammer) and smoke not even that
We fight the MKDA Raiden because at that point in the story, the events of DA had yet to happen thus Raiden didn't Nuke himself, Quan Chi, and Shang Tsung yet
I had a feeling that the new town, even tho its just a template, they probably gonna use it at some point for a Hub where Taven talk or do some quest to NPC's, and the middle will be a portal where Orin sent Taven somewhere. Its just a guess, because they show this town in the preview trailer.
Do you by any chance know what song is used in the MK Konquest Progression movie? The one that shows New Town, is sounds very scary and i haven't found it yet.

I swear that i have fighted against Cyrax and he made that one arm throw in the ps2 US MKA. But i searched in the move list in practice and there is no such move. Maybe it remains in the Scrip for Cyrax charactwr. 😂
doesnt tanya have a staff that was removed? It was shown in the mkd bio kard of hers along with a combo string which was cut from her Yue Chuan fighting style
i wouldn't count on any fatality changes being cut content, there's multiple fatalities that arent for the proper characters (eg. kobra apparently uses one of liu kangs fatalities, or liu kang having shujinko fatality based on names)
Bro, a question, how did you get the alternative Taven skin in the bow scene? 32- 50 I ask you why I tried many ways to put it on but I couldn't, I did a lot of trial and error.
omg senate of elder gods looked finished in the dev video,too bad this version wasnt in the game files :/. About new Town in MKA it could be a excellent extra stage for the game if a way to add colisions is found :D
due to how scripts and archives were built, most of unused/cut stuff got ignored/removed while building and compiling unfortunately, so not much to infer from files themselves
The fact that they cut this ouy to make this even harder is annoying, raven dont even have a sword till u get to some points in konquesr mode to fight a bunch off ppl except the ones that gives u other types of weapons and u only get the sword again at the end the konauest mode to fight daegon and blaze witch sucks
i think it's a good change considering the sword style that was shown in the teaser seems to be as powerful as the final one so the game definitely would be too easy
