I don't know why, but this skit made me laugh more than any other SNL skit I've ever seen.

I really love this music genre...even in this form, I enjoyed a lot, aside from the comic relief!

Taraji Henson resembles so much of Tammi Terrell, especially as she rocks the 60s hairstyle along with the long eyelashes. Why Tammi couldn't live at least a little over a decade longer to hit the huge fan base for a movie to be done on her, and Taraji would have been excellent to portray Tammi.

This made me laugh so hard! Such a funny spoof of the time period, costumes, the stiff white announcer pretending to be "down with the cool black music," the curtains, the format, the rhythms... On the other hand, I just want to point out that the women in the old groups worked really hard and definitely didn't do a half-assed job on the fly...and they didn't have interracial groups in that era unfortunately...and the music is actually pretty cool and catchy. (I'm a fan anyway.) Just felt the need to point that out, not sure why! :)
