I hope more people see this. There are many people that depend on these types of gloves for their safety and some are going to get a nasty surprise if word doesn't reach them in time.

Wow! Thanks for this great review. I'm a civilian and these would be great to have for when I work with a knife in the shop as well. Thanks for posting.

What would the difference be comparing the hatch resister (with Kevlar liner) compared to the friskmaster (with dyneema)
@ryanm1847
@ryanm1847 4 года назад
This is what I found; Kevlar is considered 7 times stronger than steel, while Dyneema is 15 times stronger than steel, making it the world's strongest fiber. Kevlar has a fiber density of 1440 kg/m3, resulting in a heavier and bulkier material whileDyneema has a density of 970 kg/m3, allowing for a lighter more comfortable glove.

resists hypodermic needle punctures?

Hey man I m looking for cut resistant gloves and some needle resistant for my law enforcement carrier. Do u think this gloves are needle resistant too? Or do u recommend me to get a separate pair of gloves for searching that are needle resistant?
@freefieldtraining

Needle resistance is an entirely different thing. I haven't really ever found a pair that resist needles and work as frisk gloves. The needle resistant material they put in them keeps me from being able to feel just about anything through the fingertips.

Compare the dexterity of them both? How do you think the friskmaster gloves fair when patting down/searching, ect?

If anything the Friskmasters are more flexible, sorry to say.

Thinking about getting them. I currently have the hatch SGX11’s with dyneema they are starting to fray already with less than a years use.

I've used hatch friskmasters for the past ten years. I started off with the neoprene and poly exterior gloves that didn't last long. The Friskmasters have a leather exterior that wear like iron. The only downside is cleaning. You can't machine wash leather so I use cavi-wipes on them if the ambulance is around or hand sanatizer if not. They last about 3-5 years on average.

The Hatch Friskmaster gloves are advertised to come with Spectra, not Dyneema. Did the old pair you have come with Dyneema and now they are being made with Spectra? Curious to know. Also, could you really go at these gloves with the blade against the wood stick to see what it takes to slice through it? Would love to see that. Thanks.

They come with several different liners as options. Last I checked they come in Kevlar, spectra, and dynema. I'm pretty sure these are the dynema ones. I've had spectra as well and had no complaints.

free field training Good to know. Thanks. Just ordered a pair with Spectra to test out. Gonna see if they hold up to the butcher knife test. Will keep you posted. Thanks again ⚫️🔵⚫️

Is the Hatch gloves needle resistant? If its not then can you please direct me to a good multi function glove that provides good needle protection suitable for custody searching and cut resistance?

Try cut pro, they are from the uk and have amazing quality gear. If you are also looking for slash resistant clothing or stab residtant clothing ppss group or slash pro are also good. They also have videos of them testing their products on RU-vid.

Phew!! Well that makes me feel better. Would love to see what it DOES take to cut them, as well as any puncture (needle) resistance if any. Thanks Tommy! These videos do make a difference!
