My sister was finding it hard to make a water bottle holder for my friend when she requested, but that was until we stumbled on to your tutorial! Now she has a nice and cute water bottle holder to give as a gift! She used cotton milk yarn in the color baby blue and baby pink for the stripes, and white on the ruffles!! Thank you so much for the tutorial!! :D

Hi. Thankyou for sharing you talent. Its so lovely to see someone else doing it left handed. It was difficult to follow others who were right handed. So much so i was thinking of giving up learning.. Now working my way through this and feeling very pleased with my self... so thankyou .😊

The fact that you are left handed like me helped me so much! Its kinda hard to find tutorials with people who are left handed so thank you! I also had to slow down the vid a bit because you are very fast and I cant keep up 😅

Hii i love your vids and your tutorials are sooo easy to follow so I made this water bottle holder and it turned out great this is actually my biggest project and I'm proud of it pls keep doing more tutorials of big projects. As a beginner I'm proud that I made a big project just by following your instructions wish I could show you my work I'm just an 11 year old girl whose crocheting I'm from the Philippines btw (I hope you would reply to this and I actually subed)

Hi when you attached the brown yarn then finish it and then attached the white yarn, and the round in the bottom yarn did you cut the white yarn then reattached to the brown?

Hi, so each time i attach a new colour i just finish the stitch with the new colour, and then I start the next round. As I’m doing the stitches of the next round I’m weaving the previous colour into the work so that it’s tucked away. After a few stitches in that round I then cut the previous colour yarn. I hope that makes sense!💗

Hi, I've made one of these last week and it turned out amazing! I wanted to make another one for a friend, but this time my base circle keeps curling up/turning into a cone kind of... google says tension might be too high, but i've actually loosened my tension... should I go back to high tension maybe? I've tried 5 times already in the past 2 days and can't get the hang of it anymore... 🤔

i’m so sorry you are having trouble with it! hmmm the only thing i can thing it could is if you are slip stitching in the wrong place at the end of each round, for example slip stitching into the 2nd double crochet could cause the work to be curling because there are ‘too many stitches’ in one area. the other option could be that your first round in the magic circle is too tight, perhaps you could try pulling the short tail (to close the ring) less tight and move the stitches around a bit more to allow more space for it to spread out. if you want you can send me a DM on instagram with photos and i can try my best to help you 💗

Would you recommend using cotton yarn so that the bag doesn't stretch?

Either are fine imo! cotton is definitely stronger, but a using a smaller hook/tighter tension with the acrylic yarn will help create more density, i have made quite a few water bottle bags with acrylic yarn and as long as the stitches aren’t too loose i find it really doesn’t stretch that much !💗

Hi, may i ask what is the size of your Tumblr? I did a five round of increase at the bottom part because the tumblr's size (which is i dont have w me rn) is 9cm, the base, (45oz) I'm using a 4mm hook, btw

instead of making 10 DC into the ring, you could make less, but for this pattern it needs to be an even number, maybe try 6 or 8 DC instead? then continue the pattern as normal! 💗

@@pwetty_ihaa i used about 100g of each colour, it was DK yarn, i don’t think i used all of the yarn from the skein but i recommend getting 100g of each colour to be safe!💗

How do you count the crochet? Do you count 2 dc as one? Or seperate counting hueue just a beginner hehe

Each DC ‘post’, as in the long “stick”, counts as a stitch, in the second round where we make 2 DC in each St, this means making 2 stitches into each ‘V’. When you count the stitches you are counting each long stick! I hope this makes sense💗

Yes, that's what I do with small projects, but if you do it to this one, you will run out of yarn twice as fast. But if you have plenty of yarn and don't mind, then of course you can!

Hi, so I dont really know how yours curves up because i done chain 4 methid and done 3 rounds and for changing colours i only done 1 round per colour. I haven’t finished yet but it isn’t curling up like yours. Have i done something wrong?

did you double crochet in the back loop for the round 5? if not, the work will not curl up !💗

are you accidentally increasing after the base? make sure you are slip stitching in the correct place and making your first DC in the correct place because it could mean your making 2 DC at the beginning by accident 💗

yes definitely! your bottle holder may come out slightly bigger though, so that might mean you can skip round 4 (if your work is large enough to fit over the base of your bottle) and carry on from round 5, so depending on how large the base of your bottle is keep this in mind❤
