Thanks to Nepal police the guy who asked you to buy baby formula has been arrested, thanks for bringing out this video ,so we common people were aware about those kind of guys
Darn Max, that nearly made me cry…you bought his kids milk and treats ! I am sad to read in the comment section that it was a scam but regardless, your actions and intentions were genuine! You are gold my friend 😊
It’s seem that scammers are every where , I am in USA and I got from Ghana , Africa over $1000 And another from Chinese lady from Canada over lots of money
Yeah, scammers are increasing a lot here nowadays. Idk how old his videos are but because of his video on Facebook police caught the guy and he is in custody now.
UPDATE : After your video went viral , the babypowder scammer dude got caught by Nepal police today we are trying to make Nepal a tourist friendly country and hopefully in the future our neighbouring country people who comes here will also understand the local rules and respect our city
I am now one of your subscribers,I felt bad that you bought knowingly so expensive milk to that scammer guy, but didn’t give a penny those street singers, you took video and said thank you n left, didn’t notice how happy with lots hope on their face that they might get some good reward from you. They had been singing with full of joy. It is one of the Nepali Cultural Music that Nepali respect lot. One of the Nepali Community Traditional Culture, called “Gaiyine” means who get singing like roaming around to entertain and to say stories and happenings around the country since hundreds years ago and this is their earning of living and feed their family. We must give a little to help them when we see them on the street, village, town anywhere. We are proud of them. Gaiyine daibhaiharu.
Sorry to say, but this video could have easily been titled ..... "Welcome to Nepal's scam city' ......... .but Max 'chose' to name after the GOOD that he experienced. That is just brilliant man .. says alot about max God bless you
I hate to say this, Max, I got caught on the scam for baby milk the first time I went to Nepal. They go back and get it refunded. I have been going to Nepal for 26 years, twice a year. It's my favourite country. I feel so bad he did that to you. You are such a nice, kind guy.
That guy at 26:14 is a scammer after i hear them in nepali saying he does not have baby!! He doesn't have baby but uses emotional card to buy tourists milk powder!! I am 100% sure he will resell it later for hard cash to buy drugs, liquor or cigarettes!!
You have to be one of the most patient people I have ever come across. I would literally go insane having all those people come up to me, hassling me all the time. Great video again.
There's a lot to be taken from this video. The culture, the people, the landscape.. But, the thing that was clear and impressed me the most was you Max. It's clear, you are just a good man, and that the highest praise you can achieve. Safe travels !
That papdi chaat is like a secret gem of a snack for locals. I'm so glad you found it. When I lived in Nepal 15 yrs ago, I used to go with my mom and have it every time we visit that place. So glad to see that same seller in the exact place after so many years!
But, That guy at 26:14 is a scammer!! He doesn't have baby but uses emotional card to buy tourists milk powder!! I am 100% sure he will resell it later for hard cash to buy drugs, liquor or cigarettes!!
Thank you for being so loving and kind, Max. ❤ My mom used to say that as long as you are doing actions from the heart, that’s all that matters. I can relate to you about how you help others.
Your are a very good hearted person, I been following you for a quite long time and seen you helping out everyone who asks or dont but you go to help anyway. But we careful sometimes
Very helpful tip, i also follow the same, i tell the person that i am doing that before breaking seal, if the person hesitate a little something is fishy there!
One of the most respectful and knowledgable vloggers I have ever seen. I love how you go beyond to respect people's cultures. I feel like I am traveling through your videos. Keep it up man. Next up hopefully is Dharamshala India, the Tibetan Exile in Capital and LADAKH!!! You will love Ladakh
Little tip from an Indian: Whenever someone bothers you with something you don’t even want, you can pretend that you’re not listening to them. They’ll just ask twice & leave you alone.
That guy at 5:45 was very fluent in English, and was very pleasant in speaking and he was selling his business right. The way he started the conversation and the way he explained the problem and explaining on how he can assist was impressive.
That guy at 26:14 is a scammer!! He doesn't have baby but uses emotional card to buy tourists milk powder!! I am 100% sure he will resell it later for hard cash to buy drugs, liquor or cigarettes!!
American doesn't like to get forced. So he isn't doing his business in a great way from the Max perspective, which I can say based on my experience here in USA and also from his face.
That guy at 26:14 is a scammer after i hear them in nepali saying he does not have baby!! He doesn't have baby but uses emotional card to buy tourists milk powder!! I am 100% sure he will resell it later for hard cash to buy drugs, liquor or cigarettes!!
max, whenever you buy someone food, always break the seal / open the packet so they can't resell it. another youtuber pointed out this "reselling" scam in india. and i kinda see that guy walking in your direction after you said bye to him, but after a while he turns to the direction of the shop. can't be sure if he's a scammer but yeah it's best to be aware and smart
Did you not watch the same video? Very pushy and a bunch of scammers. The guy who wanted the powdered milk was a scammer. Max controlled himself very well, but imagine being a woman travelling alone, it's not a nice place to travel.
I am very much impressed by u Max the fact that u support local business and local food U r a gem 💎 Max I love for u is endless and unlimited Also unconditional Saty safe and bless U r a true gentleman I love u Max
He just got scammed by the shopkeeper and random dude asking for milk which doesn't even have a child, he will bring the overpriced milk back to the shopowner and get a % for the money. The people there are not 'that' nice
you're a good hearted man and I'm definitely subbing you. you knew they scammed you with that coconut price but you keep on vloging without any bad words. RESPECT!
That guy at 26:14 is a scammer after i hear them in nepali saying he does not have baby!! He doesn't have baby but uses emotional card to buy tourists milk powder!! I am 100% sure he will resell it later for hard cash to buy drugs, liquor or cigarettes!!
looking at the vlog as a Nepalese is pretty funny, Nepalese people are very proud of their culture so they will just start educating you in the middle of the conversation, its kinda weird sometimes but you get used to it lol
Max, you are a great samaritan (beyond good), weed out the scammers, and support the genuine needs. Food yes, cash no. 100% agree with you. Your way too kind man I would just ignore the people pushing you after you have said 'no' but your doing great. Brilliant vlog.
It hurts to see that the dude who asked you to buy him the baby formula was lying while you were only tryna help. Also, he was telling the ladies at the shop that he had to lie to get foreigners to get money from them. I am so sorry about that Max
Wowza! I am an Indian and have lived in Nepal for over 15 years during my childhood days and hence understand Nepalese language. The baby powder scam guy when asked by the lady in the shop if he has kids, he literally responded "I dont have kids, but if I dont lie or fake it, Max wont buy it and hence I will make no money off him". I am shocked to see this as I know Nepalese people to be one of the kindest and most hospitable ones. But one thing for sure for you Max, you have done something with good intention and it will bring you good karma at the end. All the places you have visited are very close by to where I used to live. You walked past one of the most famous samosa place in Kathmandu. Like watching your vlogs and have seen a few. Now becoming a subscriber too!
No good karma can be earned by helping that con.As a nepalese I am embarrassed. There are poor and not materialistic people in Nepal and there are some poor and materialistic who like to con tourists. That guy should be arrrested.
I'm glad you helped that guy. You got my sub. I'll watch more. Good philosophy with a touch of social service. You got me in my heart, bro. Thanks for climbing those stairs for the content too. I'd never make it lol
Recently came across your channel and am so thankful for that...not only you make great content.. but you are such a great human . Keep going! Thank you for being you .
Best thing about this video is the animals living in harmony with each other at monkey temple, the monkeys, the dogs, the birds & some other creatures...❤❤❤❤
Max you must have amazing taste buds and such a joy to hear you describe each sensation from every bite ..I wish I could enjoy food the way you do .. your love and appreciation of food is so heartwarming. Take care x
It’s good to see the guy was arrested because it was a scam as he clearly said that it’s not true with the girl in 26:19 that he had a kid. It was clearly spoken in Nepali Language
I don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for the local nepali guy who was after you to get him the powdered baby milk. 😆 What a nice gesture you did Chris.🤗
@@disliked1390 yes........correct .....that fellow did answer to the girl at the shop when she asked him that he had children or not. His answer was no.
My man I have never seen any foreigners so much down to earth like you. Well you inspire everyone to be like you.Much love brother and I will always include in my prayers to a likes of you.God bless you.
I like how kind, considerate and humble you are with people. You are the best max. I keep checking RU-vid daily to see if you have uploaded a new video already. Your videos are raw, authentic and addictive to watch. Lots of love from India max. 😃🤩
Papdi chat... The way u explained...omg... Couldn't resist the mouth watering...plz b kind while explaining , showing food stuffs to us... 😂😂 Keep up the good vibes , u r one of my favourite vlogger
seriously 300 for one coconut, my whole family are gonna have heart attack hearing this, its 100 times expensive, but i appreciate the fact that u just paid without hesitation❤
Its 300 Nepalese rupee not indian 300 rupees .300 Nepalese rupee is equal to 180 indian rupees.which is also quite expensive but i just wanted to explain to you😊
In delhi it's 50 to 150rs depends on location. And I don't think 300rs expensive in nepal. It's all the way from india and they selling on high hills. Even if you visit north india everything ost triple here.
24:00 The baby formula guy might also be a scammer. These fellows will buy things like baby formula to feed on your empathy and then go and resell them in some other shops for 50% discount and pocket the money. Stay away from such people.
So much you get to experience and learn with each trip, with each country, with different people and cultures. Having fun seeing your vlogs Max, keep em coming 🤗
That guy at 26:14 is a scammer!! He doesn't have baby but uses emotional card to buy tourists milk powder!! I am 100% sure he will resell it later for hard cash to buy drugs, liquor or cigarettes!!
Hi, Max I just came to discover your channel from @Chris Lewis channel watching pakistani vlog series few days before. They are really too good. I love your wholesome personality (Humbleness, Kindness, Honesty, Smile, Voice) and i am more attracted to your channel because of your love for the food and beverage.👍 And another thing the guy who scammed you in the Baby Formula got arrested by Nepal Police and he is behind the bar.✌Feel so sorry that you got scammed. So next time please be careful. Always love watching your vlogs !! Keep it up MAX !! MUCH LOVE ❤ P.S. i think the girl from the papri chaat is not aware that how foodie you are and your love for the spicy food. for thos who dont know he has a next channel related to the food and beverage called @Max McFarllin !! 😊
I first tried papri chaat from a seller in Jaipur that a local recommended; it was also my first time trying chaat. I fell in love! I can't believe that so few places in the west sell it, it's incredible!
All positive vibes in yours videos.. your way of handling to all types of people be it good or annoying is so cool. And I loved "don't judge me!" part at chat counter 😁👍
Hi Max Watchin' it from Sydney, Originally from Nepal too, following this Nepal series as much as i can, There is one Simple rule with Nepal, If they sense Kindness, humbleness they repel back more humbly Kinder or else vice-versa, Love you man, Shine on !
nepali are smart scammer the best experience i could get from my 4years friendship so think how a stranger nepali can scamm if even the friend can do i hate nepali than the pakistan
@@JoyBoyKshetricha i dunno where you’re from and sorry for that experiences, regarding this video the guy bumped into the video probably looked like some homeless dude, scammed him some $20 sayin’ baby food and entertained a lil in the video as well lol so it’s win-win situation for me, if you wanted to drop down my thoughts on that, Thanks !
26:57 that guy does not look like a father. In one of the Karl Rock Videos he explained how scammers will make you buy expensive food products from stores then they will go and resell it to some other store. Never give them any expensive packed food items. Should always give them after opening the product to make sure they will use it.
Hearing a southern accent in Asia is awesome. Being from Georgia I got a ton of funny looks in the Philippines. They couldn’t figure out where i was from 😅
29:00 I know in India I had a very hard time exchanging a 100-dollar bill from the 80s. eventually, some money exchange place did exchange it for me. Bring new dollars if you plan to exchange in India and apparently in Nepal too.
I feel so sorry for you as everyone was forcing you to go certain direction. It’s not good. But anyway you are great as you are exploring our Nepal. I hope you have good time there ❤️🇳🇵
I was just gonna say man, I’m from NYC so I’ve all the scams. If someone says they need food look at the gold chain around their neck, their clothes, their watch. When you’re starving, you’ll sell that stuff to eat. I also volunteered at a homeless shelter. Usually homeless & starving people won’t bother people. 99% of the time if someone asks you for money it’s a scam or they need drugs. Starving people know where to find food to survive.
The person who scammed you in swoyambhu( the monkey temple) for baby food and the video was viral on social media and he has arrested by nepal police for scamming tourists❤️❤️👏👏
Salute your act of kindness.... Chances are that the boy will sell it back to the shop at a lower price.... This is an age-old trick that is practised by Street urchins in parts of Nepal and India......
Despite being so annoyed by sellers and people He just stops at everyone and appreciate their work or their goods thats just so kind if i was in his shows id probably just get so frustrated but hats off to max’s patience I wonder if he met me someday would he be able to spare minute or two for me😂
I really love your vlogs. You go where most other vloggers wouldn't go, and explore the unexplored. Also love your ways of explaining the things unexplored. your kind, real emotions makes it even more enjoyable. I always have smile on my face waching thse vlogs. Keep doing and all the best
cant believe the guy who scammed him asking the baby formula and the ladies didn't bother to tell him the truth. What has happened to Nepal and Nepalese being kind
One guy can't represent Nepal and their people,so much kindness alive in Nepal I know, these type of area number of scammers gathered it not only in nepal and lady she understand so she asked but it's not that much easy to everyone to interfere in other business in very short time without any background knowledge, other person is very willingly offering him, people of Nepal also Don't like this, that guy is very shameful but not all understand
