cuty kate gamer SERIOUSLY! Two years ago I fronted my boyfriend the money for his, but then never bought one for myself because it’s so much. I’m waiting for the one I just won on eBay to ship. Refurb or used is DEFINITELY a good option!

@@issitohbi Yeah used can be the way to go. I barely could afford mine, had it for about 2 weeks, bought the full set at a local pawn shop for $225 usd (that includes the sales tax). But I did see cheaper ones as low as $175-$200, some still in box for like $230. You just gotta keep an eye out for a good deal (preferably pick up if you don't wanna risk getting scammed if the account doesn't have ratings yet). Found mine on offerup, always see people putting their switch for sale daily, even in bundles.

When you said 150 for the joycons I died, cuz I just bought mine for 66USD and could totally just unscrew the covers, and spray paint them matte pink for a lot less.

to be fair, you're paying for: 1. the joycons 2. someone's time and supplies for the project $150 isn't really bad at all for a project like that, with them being such high quality without any noticable flaws in the paint job!

Everything is absolutely adorable! I'm going to be buying my first Nintendo Switch this year and one thing that worried me is that the appearance of the original colors aren't very appealing to me. That Sumiko Gurashi case is adorable! Personally, I am one of "those" people that want a case where you can keep the joycons attached. I'm just kind of clumsy and don't like taking the joycons off very much. I have not customized my Switch yet, but I'd like to get some skins for it!

That setup is so cute! I’ve got to check out Amazon’s switch accessories. I mostly use washi tape on my switch because it looks cute and comes off super easy so I can change if I want to.

I would definitely love to get Joycons like this! I don't think I will though because they're so expensive and I have a feeling if they started drifting, Nintendo likely won't fix them because they think they're third party Joycons...

Yeah~ joy con drift is a pain 😕 I’m lucky that I haven’t had that problem with mine, but I have friends who have. On my IG, I reviewed some pastel cases that snap over the joycon, giving it a new look for a much cheaper price (and without having to take apart the joycon!)

I’m trying to get the custom 8-bit Nintendo Switch since Mario Maker is coming out and I might order it Friday so by the Friday before the game releases I get game after getting a glass screen protector , sd card and a case. Since the Mario Maker game comes with a 12-month Nintendo online membership. I hope my dad gets me the switch.

On Amazon you can get the brand ExtremeRate which are joycons shells for around $19.99. I got some white ones and they are perfect😄 you gotta look up tutorials on how to detach everything tho

i ordered an animal crossing new horizons switch lite skin and it comes with the same joystick paw thingies you have. i’m putting a clear case over that (for protection but also because it looks minimalistic in a way and i like that look) and my case is a bit bulky but it’s a leather looking breath of the wild case :)

Yes! It also comes in a few other designs~ since this video is almost a year old, they might be a bit hard to find, but I suggest looking on amazon or eBay! Or check out my part 2 video, if you want to use a Japanese shopping service.

$150??? You got gypped. eXtremeCase makes shells in various different skins. Joy con shells for ~$15 and full switch shells for ~$40. They also have Pro Controller shells as well as different color button sets. Check them out on Amazon. I shell swapped my switch (with the joy cons) to a galaxy image and my pro controller to the large wave Japanese painting. They're really high quality and also have that same matte texture she's describing in the vid. I've also done their SNES shell on my switch. In both cases I've had no issues with anything like peeling or fading or anything like that.

I didn't want to take apart my Joy-con myself :) I'd rather pay someone who is better at it and has the proper tools and experience~ Plus, it's nice having an extra set of Joy-con around for when friends come over. Thanks for the suggestion though! It's a great option for those on a budget and who are more adventurous with their consoles!

I recently bought custom joycons cus I messed up trying to do some myself. MAN the ones I bought are beautiful tho. White shelling w/ blue sticks and blue resin glittery buttons 💙💙💙! (Wish you could post pictures in your comment)

I wanted cat paw covers for so so long but they were never worth the money for me, so now I just have a simple black fiberglass case with red and blue zippers and rubber joy con and joystick covers for better grip. And I gotta say, I really like the practicality of my setup, but after seeing this I gotta get me a dock cover °w°
