Cut scenes complete a Game. The way to tell your story and drive the audience through the path of the game is via Cut scenes. In this video, we will create a cutscene in unity 3D using Timeline.
You’re awesome man. I had to search and find one vid and bam just what I needed. Looking forward to animating my story for sure. This is gonna speed up development on that so much.
This is absolutely AMAZING!! Thank you!! I wanted to make my first cutscene for my 3D adventure game and this tutorial gave me all the info I needed! THanks! Time to set up the environment and the characters now and then I just have to set up the script just as you showed but adjust it to my liking. Super useful video. Subscribed!
This a very short and consise video that was very easy to understand. I've been looking for an easy tutorial for a while and this was very helpful. Thank you!
Unity RU-vid channel loads 51 minutes tutorial video for their Timeline system = I can't understand anything CG Aura channel loads 14 minutes tutorial video for Timeline = Everything is clear 😀
I love your style. Fast enough that I'm not getting bored, informative enough to know what you are talking about and straight to the point. I hate tutorials where the dude spends minutes introducing himself or what the tutorial is going to be about. Or when they start with: "let's make a cube" and trying to explain to you how Blender navigation keys are.....
nice tutorial.. a good alternative method on the main camera animation inside timeline, usually i do only know to use cinemachine on timeline to make good camera transitions..
Btw I need help. My animations from mixamo won't work. The characters just do this weird flip where they move down until animation is over. And stay there floating. It's weird. Idk if it's the character itself, the animation or what. Can you help me? What settings on animations/characters did you use? Has anyone had similar problems?
I am trying to make a modular animator component, the objective is to make the animations fired on each character (via script), based on the dialogues audio clip length, it's very limited though, I am attemted to clear everything up and use the default timeline.
I was having loads of trouble getting my head around animating the characters in my scene with movement. About 10 minutes through the video now and it's coming together nicely! Thanks Edit: Did you do both the voices?
Also i've another tutorial request. Can you make a tutorial how to blend two different animations in unity. Like idling from Mixamo and a custom Wave animation. That would be a great help.
When I start recording and adjusting postion of a character in override transform track, it flickers, dissapears and moves randomly, also it is not respecting the movements, what am I missing? I guess I activated something that makes it move to other position. Do you know how to solve this?
My 3d model has a weird rotation by default, as a workaround I created an empty game object as a parent of the 3d model and changd the local rotation of the 3d model child inside the dummy parent. Now I record an animation in timeline with the parent selected, the animation moves the parent and NOT the child object, but for some reason the timeline will reset the child rotation to 0,0,0 as soon as I play the recorded animation in the timeline window, I checked multiple times to make sure that the animation clip only changes the parent position so I don't understand why the timeline does this or how to solve it. Edit: This does not happen if I play the animation in the animator itself (by triggering the animation with code) it only happens if I use the animation inside a timeline
does adding animations like this take up a substantial amount of memory? For some reason I always thinking adding cutscenes into games increases it's download size.
Memory and storage are different. Animations take very little storage, though if you have many objects with a lot of animations it may cause performance issues.
Hello sir I want to ask how about if i make a cutscene on my game that if my player do a combo the player will have a cutscene but on unity2D not on 3D i have look out that we should use Unity handheld but it only works on android i want my combo cutscene that work on pc how i do that? as quick reminder I'm not do the animation create one by one for my game
I am trying to add a walking animation to my scene(using the Mixamo assets ) and it seems to be way too short, but if I try to extend or duplicate it, my character is simply reset to the starting position, and I am not sure what to do? Any help would be awesome!
I'm assuming a created asset like a terrain or city environment used in two or more scenes shares a common resource that's loaded at runtime, so there's not two copies of it ... that would be very wasteful if it were ... so I'm assuming a "scene" is just a small packet of data telling Unity what assets to load from resources and how to transform, animate and handle them ... if anyone can shed more light on that, please let me know.
I am getting synchronization issues. Adding animation clip character synchronized to timeline position. Let's say, I have three characters, all are synchronized to the timeline position. How to solve that?
Hey, ive found a fix, all you have to do is just change the position in the animation in the timeline. you have position options when you click on it, under animation playable asset
