I did something fairly similar but 3d printed the base and centering disc deal. Skateboard bearing in the center attached to a rod from a very old 3d printer plan was to attach a tool to that kind of like you did but never got around to it. Then did another with a bearing and a sleeve in it thats perfectly sized for my hole cutting bit. Found I can order all sorts of odd size hole saws from china so been using that one a lot.

@@MrM_Full-Sendyes, carbon fiber is conductive. Always insulate the leads if you bring them up top through the neck, or solder below the cone neck.

Just did this to make a W7 a 18 inch had to cut cone from 3 inch to 3 1/2 inch i just took my time and used a razor

@@MrM_Full-Send no the 18 inch cone I have is carbon fiber and it was a 3 inch I took the W7 motor and voicecoil which is a 3 1/2 inch and used the 18" cone so had to cut the cone to fit the 1/2 since it was only 3 inch...Just posted video on my page today check it out
