I thought I was going to be watching the Shatter show! You were lucky to to be able to enlarge that hole😁. You know they make brass tubes at various lengths just for extending the shade like you did. The bolt was a good idea and an en-expensive solution. 😁🛫

Ahh...no, I didn't know that. I thought maybe there was some better way, but it's hard to know what to do a Google search on, when you don't know what to call the item your'e looking for. lol

I worry about sharp spots and how incredibly difficult sharp edges are to deal with on glass. Can’t file or sand glass without more problems. Maybe there is some trick to it.

Yeah, I thought about going back in and sanding the hole a little...maybe rolling up a piece of sandpaper and just taking the edge off each side of the hole, but I didn't.
