I find chert all over the place where I live here in the Shenandoah Valley! Sometimes it's boring, but at least one of these is definitely worth waiting for! I always love cutting open a rock and finding out it both looks good and should take a polish!
The saw is the Hi-Tech Diamond lapidary saw. It’s been a great tool so far! I use an Ameritool 8 inch flat lap for smoothing and polishing.
