You CAN put laces on these, just need to thread it through the knit. Keep in mind, the laces would be for show and not really do anything structurally for the shoe.

I think the ultra boost is the best original runner design since the Lunar 1. It will be retroed in 10 years or so with that iconic blue/purple heel tab. Sort of like the modern day Infrared Air Max 90. I think the straps complete the look, I dont see the need to remove them

Bought some Pure Boost 1s. Haven't own any other boosts and hands down the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. It will be hard for to ever where anything other that boosts from now on.

You can sew in an ankle brace for support. Sew it to the mesh upper and the heel end.

Q: in trying on the ultra boost, I found the tight forced me to go a 1\2-full size up. Did taking off the cage create a more natural fit where I would be fine getting my usually 11.5 size rather than 12-12.5? PS. I have no doubt that Adidas will release a sock version soon. Lol

from the look of it, it means its a poorly designed shoes. the reason you cut the cage is because its too small for you. but if you size up it would be too long.
