I'm trying to make abox for a friend and wanted more flair than just miters, but have been struggling cutting this joint. This video is extremely helpful and convincing to me to just be patient and do it step by step. Also you clearly had fun with the stop motion part and I love it :D
Thank you for this video. It gives a great example. All the other you tube videos are always done with super expensive equipment and perfectly perfection. Instead of showing how to do it by hand while being rusty or a beginner
I have the same dilema with a cheap miter gauge...but I don't have a set of good sharp chisels or a coping saw....so off to make a sled. Running out of test wood and my boxes are getting smaller...ugh...oh well,.practice, practice, practice. Thx for the inspiration, great work.
After watching a bunch of videos and finishing my first box, I'm choosing your video as the reference for how to make box joints next time, and putting it in my instructions folder 📁 :D great job! You beat Paul Sellers in clarity and completeness, just so you know. The stop motion is just gravy 🤠
Nice job and very nice video work! I can see the patience you needed to complete this project! I have never attempted this type of project but you have inspired me to give it a try. Thank you for posting
Beautiful work, dude! Really well done! 😃 I don't know why, but I think dovetail is easier to do by hand than something like this! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
