I was planning to take a break this week and not do a video… but then I got an idea and I couldn’t hold back oops…. EDIT: GUYS I SAID “STILL MAKE TOMODACHI LIFE 2” NOT DONT 😭
4:28 Alternative idea: cut both Mario Kart stages and bring back Rainbow Road from Smash 3DS, considering how it's a more iconic course and looks more unique
Yes definitely bring back 3DS Rainbow Road but look on the bright side it’s now in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and play as none Mario character in it with Link and Villager from smash 4 and also Inkling Isabelle that weren’t smash 4 so definitely bring back rainbow road
15:43 I'm a Pikmin fan but I'm 100% sure you said the Peckish Aristocrab in your ranking stage hazards video. But I'm glad you chose Garden of Hope since in my opinion it has a better layout and hazards. It also comes from my favorite Pikmin game Pikmin 3.
It’s a better reference to the series as well, distant planet fits but feels more loose than garden of hope which is directly referencing an area in Pikmin 3 which I prefer
Want to know my favorite stage is Temple , Pokemon Stadium 1, Delfino Plaza, Meta Knight Halbert , Pokemon Stadium 2 , New Pork City , Summit , Spear Pillar , Unova Pokemon League Lumiose City , Mario Circuit MK8D, Mario Galaxy , Garden of Hope , Kalos Pokemon League , Moray Towers , Spring Stadium , Minecraft World, Northern Caves , Hollow Bastion
@@Luis-yh9xd "erm ackshually, bowser's castle appeared in the paper mario stage! 🤓👆" Jokes aside, a bowser's castle stage would go so hard, and there's a ton of possibilities for cool hazards too. It's probably my most wanted thing if there's ever another smash bros
As a Xenoblade fan, you made the right choice there, Gaur Plains is a memorable and jaw-dropping early game location and even though there's much more beautiful stuff later on in 1, that's the first place that shows you a glimpse of what this game is capable of. While the Cloud Sea of Alrest as a whole is iconic to XC2 fans like I am, you quite literally never get to freely roam around Gramps's back in XC2 (which is the titan the stage is on), so even though his role in the story is iconic and it represents the game as a whole better, my choice would be Gaur Plains too
@@chesqen What parts of Mor Ardain or Tantal would you want them to make into the stage? For Mor Ardain, the desert/factory really don't seem too appealing to me. Tantal has the advantages of ice and snow being less represented in Smash, and the scenery is more interesting to traverse in XB2, but I don't really like that too much either. My two picks pre-release were the Cloud Sea or Olethro Ruins on Uraya. Cloud Sea was executed exactly how I'd have thought it should so no complaints there. My reasoning for Olethro Ruins was due to its story relevance, being a fairly open arena, and how gorgeous the sunset would be.
Honestly I’m fine with most of your cuts but if there had to only be ONE another stage I’d take Magicant. Onett being iconic isn’t much of an argument when we have the opportunity to represent the whole franchise.
Why no Sun and Moon stage when Incineroar is in smash so here my idea of a Sun and Moon stage Alola Island : traveling stage takes you to Iki Town in Melee Melee , on top of Wela Volcano in Akala Island , Mount Lana Ke La on Ulu Ulu Island and Vast Poni Canyon in Poni Island
Good. The larger the roster gets, the more it hinders development. Ultimate had the worst single player content (at least imo) because they had to devote a lot of time to the huge roster.
@@vanessasandoval96they probably wouldn’t add a stage for a Pokemon game that isn’t one of the most recent ones. If they do make a new smash game I could see area zero being a really cool stage that’s either the past or future version when you enter, but can choose on stage select by holding a button. Paradox mons can jump out of the background to attack with a small chance for miraidon or koraidon to show up.
11:17 Gen 5 Pokemon not having a fighter is a CRIME. Sure, I'm happy with my all time favorite Pokemon, Pikachu, and my main, Incineroar, but gen 5 is my favorite in the series, and It's saddening to not see any of Pokemon's best roster as fighter.
@@LuckyThirtyEight Yeah, that's true, we do have gen 5 Pokemon in the pokeball, but there are a lot of cool Pokemon that would be amazing, like you said, maybe Dewott, Mienshao, or Bisharp?
What you should've done is give everyone have their own stage Examples Mario: New Donk City Hall Donkey Kong: 75m Link: Great Plateau Tower Samus: Brinstar Yoshi: Yoshi's Island (Brawl) Kirby: Dream Land Fox: Corneria Pikachu: Pokemon Stadium Luigi: Luigi's Mansion Ness: Onett
Want to know my favorite fighter each different series of 64 melee brawl 4 and ultimate are Mario Link Peach Zelda Pokemon Trainer Sonic Rosalina Greninja Inkling and Luminary
One thing to consider is that you cut BOTH edge wrapping stages, Mario Bros. and Balloon Fight. I think one of them should have stayed to preserve the unique mechanic.
Yeah so it could be same thing when you play as a none Mario character in Mario Kart 8 deluxe as still Link and Villager in smash 4 but also Inkling and Isabelle from ultimate to play in Rainbow Road 3DS
Green Hill Zone is TRASH though. Windy Hill Zone is way more playable. A giant crater in the centre of the stage does not make for a good stage to play on.
I'm surprised you didn't feel the need to justify keeping PictoChat 2. It took me a bit to realize the idea there was probably because it is the only stage to represent built-in Nintendo software (aside from Miiverse) and, by extension, the only one that really leans into their hardware outside of Flat Zone X. Also, I think it might've been fun to do a version of the stage lineup that opened the door to past stages returning - even if odds are it would've just brought over Rainbow Road in the place of Mario Circuit, Pac-Maze over Pac-Land, Mute City from Melee over Big Blue, and maybe Jungle Hijinx as a second DK stage (I get that Stage Morph exists, but I believe some stages prevent it from happening at certain times, and they could've easily just kept that for when fighters go into the background.)
Pretty solid selection. My only real disagreement is that while Mario Circuit is a more well-known track from a more well-known game, I think Figure-8 Circuit is a more unique Smash stage, if only because Mario Circuit is just another traveling stage like Skyloft and Port Town Aero Dive. Also, as a XenoBlade fan, I'd say both of its stages aren't great, though Gaur Plains is certainly the more notable locale (mostly for the music and scenery, not much happens there in-game). Both games could have had much better stages
Id keep Kongo Jungle over Kongo River over the big fact that no other n64 stage left in this hypothetical cut up. Melee already has a ton of stages left anyways so it ain't starving for spots.
Ngl I think you should eventually do a cutting the smash roster in half video. A good idea would be to do it when the next smash game is announced since that’s probably only a few years away
I feel like you should consider that cutting stages means that their series could get a new stage rep, for example you would cut Pac Land so that in this theoretical game Pac-Man gets a new, actually good stage. Palutena's Guidance could also be moved to Skyworld.
i’m still just like an hour into the all SMB levels ranked video. from all the upcoming Nintendo youtubers, you’re my favorite, so do get your relaxation time Edit: I say upcoming but you have 200k+ subs which is pretty goated, respect
Honestly it would just make sense to combine the three battlefields into one slot, since I don't see how the next game couldn't just add an option for those layouts much like the base Battlefield and Final Destination layouts.
I'd rather have Arena Ferox or even Coliseum over Castle Siege since it has some overlap with Garreg Mach Monastery in terms of its theming. I was going to say the same thing about cutting Kongo Falls for 2 sunset jungles stages before you removed 1 of them at the end. I agree with everything else though, good video
I’d have cut Castle Siege and Garret Mach Monastery. Coliseums are pretty common on Fire Emblem so it’s a good way to represent the franchise and Arena Ferox is from a actual FE game and not just a bunch of walk-offs.
I've heard that it's actually based on a trio of chapters from Roy's game. Despite releasing in Brawl, the stage was originally planned for Melee, and the 3 sections are potentially loosely based on chapters 7, 8, and 8x from Binding Blade.
We got close opinions. I feel like ice climbers and game and watch showing up at all is good enough and I would cut those two. Saffron City i think should stay. I also would take Brinstar over the other two Metroid stages even if it left me with one Metroid stage. However, we agree a lot here. Fun watch.
Do the opposite next time and double the representation of each franchise on the roster. What if Mario had twice the characters for example, who would you add, and do that for the others.
I’ve actually thought about doing that! Sadly though I need to learn about some of the franchises I’ve never played like fire emblem and CastleVania lmao
@Odyssey_Central you can either just go "that character looks cool, so add him," or just do some relatively quick research if they would bring anything interesting to the table and decide upon that. But hey, those are just suggestions.
