I cut my hair into a bob like 2 month ago (I had to go shorter though because of previous short hair cuts and short front pieces) and I've not bleached the back of my hair in over a year and it's sooooo soft and healthy. If you really stick with growing out your natural hair like you did before I'm sure it'll look amazing from the back again soon as well :) also that blond and brown color combo is amazing, I hope the brown stays nice for a while longer

Looks good. If you wear it wavy you won’t notice the broken pieces in the back. Plus it gives the hair a break from hot tools.

Hello I guess this fall is hair cutting season, i actually used to have butt length wavy healthy platinum hair shich i kept dying pastels this whole summer, but i cut it to under my boob (8 inchs) 3 days ago, it feels soo fresh i honestly miss my short bob hair but for now ama stay with long hair, btw your hair looks incredible, and am back to dying my hair neons like i did last fall/ winter

I did a big chop at the beginning of the Summer. It was rough, 10 inches of hair gone but it was so thin on the ends it was not a good look. Now it is down past my shoulders for Winter, all one length and thick and healthy. So happy I did it.

When you said six inches I was looking at the length it was in the front and thinking you'd be going all the way to a chin length bob. Which would also be a cute moment, but not the way to go if you want to grow it out really long in the back, and the angled bob where it's a little longer in the front is really great.

Love this for you & I feel this! I’ve been growing the back of my hair out for almost 2 years! I can’t remember a time it’s been this long. I’ve changed the pattern of the blonde in the front /on top but right now it’s bangs/face framing bleaching/ color only. Bleaching my whole head at home was becoming too much upkeep. Currently green in the front, light brown in the back. She’s giving Caramel Apple and I love her 💚🤎

It looks sooooo cute!!!!! So much thicker and smoother!!!! We both growing out our breakage lol. Bleached 4 HUGE chunky highlights in my hair, and then my whole head like 3 times, and where the highlight were, short pieces. Everywhere. Thank god i can hide with some water sticking it down lol 🖤🌈

Its okay if it gets tangeled a lot try a really good hair serum everyday put it on and brush ur hair twice a day if possible even 3 times a day. Be careful when brushing always brush the ends first and then work ur way up. I have the same issue

@@saltyriz7734thank you, my biggest problem I think is my mental health so I can go days without brushing and also it's bleached which doesn't help, but I appreciate the advice. I ended up chopping it off too 😅 just above shoulders.

I know you want long hair but you look SO GOOD with short hair! I've been on my own healthy hair journey for nearly a year. I even shaved an undercut and have been letting it grow, which admittedly has been hell and I knew it would be, but it's so nice to see healthy, natural hair underneath. I still have some bleached ends/underneath hair that I've been using semi permanent dye with. It's stuck on blue/lavender/greenish, so I only use purple on it lol. I cut like 1/2 inch a few weeks ago when normally I just do a dusting. I know I should cut more but it's so long now and I love it! Ugh. Proud of you. ❤

It looks awesome! It is such a good feeling when you get a haircut and it actually turns out how you imagine or want. I went to a salon chain (shall remain nameless) due to lack of options nearby. I went in with my hair past my shoulders and asked for a wolf cut with curtain bangs. I got 1/4 inch of split ends trimmed off with “bangs” that were only 1/2 an inch shorter. No layers. I couldn’t take it after a month and finally went out of town on Wed to a Fantastic Sam’s and the stylist conformed the style to fit my texture. It now looks so great with my natural waves.

Cutting your own bob is so wild 😭 I’m a cosmetologist too and when I was in school I hated doing bobs (mainly bc of one bob that got all the way fucked up on my mannequin) I can’t imagine doing it on your own head 😭. I only don’t bleach my hair as often now because I really want to preserve my curl pattern, and at about bleach round 5-6 it starts to look like noodles lol. But have you tried the curlsmith bond rehab salve? I swear it saved my curls and my hair several times

I’m on the same boat! I have so much breakage on my right side of my head it literally looks like I have bangs up to my nose length. I just hope it grows out fast so I can cut it as a long bob as well 😅

Omg, same. I swear, my hair gets to a certain length and then starts breaking off at around the same point, i've just had to dye it brown and chop it to about the same length. I use high-end products and silk pillowcases, minimal heat, semi-permanent dyes, masks etc. Went i was 18 i used to bleach my hair like every few weeks n now it has a tantrum if it goes too long without a trim lmao

I am working on growing my natural hair back out completely as well. Difficult because my natural hair color is around a 8-7 neutral blonde and my ends are a level 6-5 warm brown, and my hair is around your length. I want to color it so bad, but I haven’t touched my hair with permanent color or bleach in the back for almost a year. The only thing I’ve done is add subtle highlights in the front, and put a light brown semi permanent hair glaze earlier this year. Holding myself accountable is hard but I’m not giving up.

Id always grow my hair to like my shoulders then do a bob. It was like a yearly thing i swear for 10 years or more. ive been doing the shag wolf cut. So i grew me hair then cropped it to a pixie shag . Like so short. And now its back to my shoulders and im gonna keep going. I also decided to grow out my natural hair tho. I think your hair came out great! Was wondering if you are thinking of doing some layers to help even out the back broken pieces? If not, it still looks great! I recently cut my hair to a French Bob then eventually a pixie cut because of damage. So much happier now. Sometimes it's better to just do the big chop!

I completely fried my bleached under layer of hair trying to strip blue out of it and I had to chop it off. I have a longer pixie now but once my hair grows back out the bleach and fun colors will most definitely be coming back. I love the look of natural hair colors combined with fantasy colors so im very excited for you to leave the back half of your hair natural.
