Hello beautiful people!!!! I recently came to the conclusion that I no longer want to have locs. Watch, as I cut off all my locs and take a trip to the barber. I know you all will have a lot of questions but please be patient as I will be filming an in depth video as to what led me to this decision and what is next for my hair and my channel. Had my locs a little over 11 years. I'm tired of them want something different. My beautician can't believe it, but she is cutting them off slowly, the length was middle of my back, not at my neck, the next trip in another month, bye bye locs. I want to show off my salt and pepper hair.

After you embrace the curls, it makes you miss them so much when your hair isn't in its natural state😅 that's why I big chopped, bc I missed the curls too much😍

Just like everyone else, I absolutely adored your locs. Actually, your hair period. The texture, the density, everything about your hair is amazing. But what always blows me away the most is your beauty! You are absolutely gorgeous no matter what hair style you wear, ik excited for the reveal. I still have my mini twists from May of 2018, I never decided what to do and I've been toying with the idea of a big chop myself 🥰

Kaila J, I cried in the first few seconds of the video. But then after you cut the first loc, I started to feel your freedom! I'm truly going to miss those gorgeous locs, which is what attracted me to your channel. But I'm so excited about what's ahead for you. I have been loc'd for 1 yr and my locs are so similar to yours. I am not ready to cut mine....not sure if I ever will. But I definitely get it and I am so proud of your courage to change!!!

OMG girlllllllll I just cut mine on the 2nd! After 2 years of moving back and forth and no set haircare regimen, forgetting when I last twisted etc etc, mine just didn't look as healthy anymore! Restarting my journey. ! New subscriber !

I made one year loc journey back in November. A few days before Thanksgiving, I decided to comb them out. I missed my full thick hair and the variety of styles. If anyone needs tips on what to use to comb them out with ease. Aloe plant and a flea comb you use for your pet. Good luck with your hair journey 💚

I just cut 2 rows of locs off and on one side of my head... the cornrows feel amazing... everyday I'll cut 2 rows in a style of course! Lol...... so I'm not in shock after having locs since 98'!

im 3/4 of the way through combing out my locs of 15 years. I've been taking my time with it over a few months. I started at the front and as I go i just plait my loose hair. My locs are about 30 inches long and some are longer. My loose hair is on avg so far about 18 inches since I cut my locs above the sun bleached part of the loc. Can't wait to have them all out! YOur hair looks great congrats.

Wow, so you really did end up cutting them. There was such an outpouring of love and support when you first told us how you were feeling in Nov 2019 that I thought you wouldn't follow through with it. But then it's your hair and your channel. I'm pretty sure you thought it through before making this final decision. I *LOVED* your locks. First time I came across your channel I clicked the subscribe button so fast Wishing you the best on your new journey.

Just wanted to add that I did a TON of research before starting my locs, and something that kept coming up was the fact that as locs mature, they shrink first before they start growing. From what you shared in your November video last year obviously your locks were in the shrinking phase. I'm at the 9th month now, and a few of my locks are already starting to shrink. I expect my entire head to get even shorter as the hair stacks up on itself and becomes more compact. Whatever journey you choose from this point, research is key, so you know what to expect and don't get discouraged or lose hope. All the loc goddesses and gurus went through the shrinking/ so called stagnant phase. There's no skipping or getting around it. In life we all need to press through to get anything worth having. Nice! I cur mine like this about 12 years ago. Amazingly I had a nice bed of hair for s short afro under them. Probably because I was a free-former so I did not have hair twisted to the scalp.

When I cut my locs and I got to the last loc I felt a spark shoot through my scalp when I cut it off.... I want them back but at the same time I missed styling my hair. Twa looks beautiful on you!
