amazingly well thought out, the band templates are brilliant. I just happened to buy some toggle clamps today to build my own band jig, I'm glad I hadn't started on it yet now. Thanks for the video and sharing your jigs.

Great idea using templates. I've never tried attaching pouches with string before. It seems a little easier than using rubber.

Rocks can be safely shot. However, it requires a specific pouch/bands and the proper rock... both of which require experience to effectively shoot. They can be shot very accurately, they can also reek havoc with fork hits and errant shots. Big pouch, wide forks, and roundish stones are the best way to start.

Impressive jig Nathan! Thats smart. Very smart. I suppose something similar could be made on a smaller scale without permanently attaching the mat avoiding the wear point.

Sweet idea !!! Have u thought of cutting ur mat into strips & stacking , or replace so the groove won't get bad & just flip it over to get more life out of it. Or just put a spacer against the fence to make blade ride 1/16-1/8" away from groove.

yeah, bandsaw might be too aggressive on the cutting mat lol :) but would be a case of just loosing an inch when it wears, then another inch etc. Thats a wicked jig tho! I shared it on my FB page

Problem solved, just don't permanently attach the mat and when a groove forms, rip it off with the bandsaw and place the fresh edge along the fence.
