Cutting truck tire tread is the second life of a worn tire.
Before you cut the tire tread, you should make sure that the tire is designed for retreading. These tires have a special label - Regroovable.
For cutting use a specialized machine, which easily cuts through the new grooves on the old tread.
Before you start cutting, you must make sure that the tire is not damaged and clean the tread from stones and other debris. After that, carry out measurements of the residual tread depth in at least 4 places and make sure that the residual rubber layer is uniform.
If the tread is not evenly worn, it is possible to cut only the worn area.
