I knew you weren’t of scared of snakes. I’m in the south too and saw my first copperhead in my backyard last summer and I freaked out running and my weeds were much lower than your tall grasses. I have those vines on the trees of my property too.
That’s what I did to clean all the vines out of my trees was cut the vines and let them dry out and they let the trees grow and then they all fell off by themselves it only took a couple of years good luck
