I just started a build of an older kit. To replicate the varnished wood, what color did you use as a base? I had used Tamiya Brown mixed with orange to lighten with an oil glaze of burnt umber. It came out darker than I wished.

I used Revell holzbraun seidenmatt no 382, as the base colour. Then I used a darkbrown marker pen from Winsor&Newton to create the wood structure.

Sehr schöner Baubericht, sehr fein gearbeitet. Hab selber Ein Video über meine Cutty Sark gemacht und es macht echt Spaß die Segel zu machen.
