This car is a 2014 Honda Civic EX and has 130,000 miles.
It has a CVT transmission and I change the fluid every 30K miles using the original Honda HCF-2.
Everybody calls is ATF, automatic transmission fluid, but in reality it is fluid for a CVT, continuous velocity transmission.
I haven’t had a single problem with the transmission so far.
It requires a little less than four quarters. Each quarter costs around $13.
Please send me a comment if you have any questions.

The internet as well as two techs I’ve spoken to recently seem divided on how best to maintain a CVT transmission fluid. The owners manual for the 2014 Honda Civic provides no information “see a dealership…”.

Don’t listen to the dealership “lifetime fluid”. That is no sense. Change the fluid every 30K miles at least to have a worry free car. Please consider subscribing to my channel or a $thanks. It will help me on doing more videos like this. I am regularly fixing things around the house and adding videos about it.

Oh my God! It looks easy but is not! I wish I could do that to my own car and don’t have tu pay, but no I prefer somebody else does it for me!

I understand 😂 . It really pays back to learn how to maintain the car when you have many of them. And you make them last a long time. Check my other videos. There are easier stuff you can do as well like changing the filters or even learning the process so they can not scare sell you the maintenance.

It seems like you did not fully warm up the engine before checking the level a second time. I believe you are supposed to hold it at 3000 rpms for a couple minutes to get the engine to full operating temeperature
