You do you, bro! It always comes out great. And don’t worry about the length of the video, I didn’t even notice it as I was so engrossed in your process! Always a pleasure to watch, keep it up bro 🤙🏼😊

Put some sauce on it. Had me in stitches. Very cool to see your vision of a CX ADV bike. Nice contrast to the CX500 budget scrambler by Caferacer Garage.

This seems like the next step for a weekend warrior type bike that I have. A bit more roar then just removing the stock exhaust caps. I’ll be interested in what it does sound like. Because on longer rides I don’t really want to wear ear plugs, but I want to embrace the art of the exhaust. Nice sound, but not a deafening drone at 75mph cruise.

I really like your detail w/ showing your steps to creat proper outcomes. Excellent teacher, thank you. I enjoy too learn...... Picked up a xs400sj , wish you had more yamaha videos. Have you ever done a cleaning solution episode covering what not too use "because", what you can use or best and their differences. Never sure what to watch for when cleaning parts?
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds 2 года назад
Well thank you Monty! I do have an ongoing XS400 build that will be making a return before too long you would be interested in! Are you asking specifically about tig cleaning solutions?
@roamingearth915
@roamingearth915 2 года назад
@@BrickHouseBuilds hello and thanks for the reply. So cool as their are not many that seem to play with the xs's. I get hesitant with solutions regarding the motor and components. Should I just stick with gas and carb cleaner? I'm good w/ my hands and I'm learning this bike w/ a tear down........parts ; do you have a go to place. Compatibility in years and cc?? Slowly learning Wish I could give a million to have someone assist as to not reck or damage plus get it down the right way. Thanks again for your time!
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds 2 года назад
@@roamingearth915 oh I see what you are saying now. Gas and carb cleaner are very violent for simply cleaning parts(unless its a carburetor) as you can ruin paint and other delicate surfaces. I use Gunk brand foamy cleaner and a toothbrush to clean a lot of stuff as its gentle. You could spend days on this subject so its impossible to say simply 1 or 2 things will get the job done. It all depends on what you are cleaning and the type of grime you are wanting to remove.

I think that exhaust looks great. Not too long in my eyes. Just curious, how many hours did that mockup take?
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds 2 года назад
Thank you. I had it knocked out in about 8 hours or a bit less. With the tig there is a lot of prep time in cleaning the material before you can even tac it

Just recently discovered your channel. Cant get enough. Noticed the table top you built for the horizontal bandsaw. I'm going to duplicate that for mine. Have any more pictures on it?
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds 2 года назад
Well thank you! I actually got that bandsaw idea from Struan of the remotorcycled channel. I'm doubting I have dedicated pics of the platform but it is a 1/4" plate welded to some 2x2" square tube I had laying around. It has turned that saw into something I use every single day. Absolute must

Hi BJ, yep, music blasts at 5.50 right after your vocal...
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds 2 года назад
Tony its not a blast. The volume increases to put emphasis on the music but it is at the same output level as ambient and vocal levels. You are the only person in 2 years to say this and I take extreme care to make sure the audio is level when editing. Im not sure what to reccomend here for you.

Seems to me, that the bracket for the exhaust, should be connected to the swingarm and definitely not the frame? Won't the exhaust break, when you sit on the bike? Regards from Denmark 🇩🇰
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds 2 года назад
You have that backwards Jakob. The swingarm moves independently of the engine and rest of the frame. Attaching anything to it would be catastrophic
@bradrennick2919
@bradrennick2919 2 года назад
Is there a notable change in back pressure with 90deg turns in the pipe vs less acute angles?
@BrickHouseBuilds
@BrickHouseBuilds 2 года назад
By backpressure you mean exhaust gas velocity and no. On the intake side there is potential to slow around bends but I do not believe it has much of an effect with only a couple bends. The diameter of the exhaust tubing is what determines the gas velocity and maintaining that velocity is the important thing.

Hey BJ enjoying this build series. But I do have a question did you make your band saw table/stand and if so which video is it in.
