Hey boss. Listen, you're plenty smart and you aren't thick headed. You lack experience, that doesn't mean you aren't smart. The fact that you have the guts to put a machine shop in your garage and jump in head first says mountains about the kind of person you are. No matter how daunting you're in it and you don't seem to quit until you get it. Thats a good quality to have. As you go and as time passes, you will gain machine shop knowledge just as I will. You learn by doing and you learn by studying and you do both as I do. People are just people and as far as people go, you're really alright. You seem like a really nice guy and I know that quality more than anything draws people to you. Try being me some time, HAHA, not recommended. I have severe CPTSD and I grew up around hard core bikers and the combination of the 2 makes me mean some times and no one likes that at all. I push people away and burn bridges often. Sometimes I'm lucky and I meet someone who has a unique mind that understand me and I make friends despite myself. You on the other hand are polar opposite of what I am. That is to your advantage. All I'm saying is, STOP with the self deprecating. We all have a hand we were dealt in life and we have to play it until our life is over. Some don't give up, like you and me, and others give up and give in. I know you have your share of struggles in your life. Keep going. Find your center and move toward what gives you inspiration and keep doing what you're doing. I'm pretty sure if you were not smart, there would be no machine shop in your garage. Like I said, it took a mountain of guts for you to pull that off. Get on Joe Pies channel. His is the only machine shop instructional channel that I know and he knows his stuff. Email him, I'm sure he will help you however he can. I would have emailed this to you but you don't have an email listed. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣

*You really need a good quality roughing 4 flute end mill.* I'm not sure how hard the metal is you're going through but a good roughing end mill should be able to plow through that in 1 or 2 passes. You could easily gouge out 1/2 inch to 5/8ths of material in one pass if not more and then do a finish pass at 3 or 4 thou with a 4 flute non roughing end mill to bring your part to dimension and get a nice clean surface finish. _Do NOT buy chinesium end mills!_ Spend the money on the highest quality roughing end mill you can get. 3/4 is a good size for roughing. I would not go bigger than an inch however because the larger you go in end mills the harder it is on your machine. You shouldn't be giving the Chinese any of your hard earned money anyway. For a lot of reasons. I made a video a few weeks back about why. Titled This NEEDS to be said to YOU - youtube channels out there. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣👣
