Looking at the Amiga version, I'm sure to say that Sega was able to make a faithful conversation of the Arcade in the Megadrive but for some reason they wanted to release a sequel or remake. perhaps so as not to affect the Arcadias market. This must have been the same case for Shinobi and Shadow Dancer.
Damn amstrad and spectrum version has so many elements from the arcade. Backgrounds and enemy placement are good and even has the animations of the windows breaking as you shoot the enemies on the top level.
A friend had the Master System version, it’s probably one of the last Master System games I played. And compared to The Cyber Shinobi it was quite a masterpiece haha.
Me at the Amiga version: What’s up with the cop’s neck? He has a turtle neck! Me at the Atari ST version: What the heck happened!? The graphics look worse, and the gameplay is slower! Me at the Commodore 64 version: It’s Commodore 64, so it’s acceptable. Me at the Amstrad CPC version: What the f*ck is this!? It looks ugly, it is slow and choppy!! This one is possibly one of the ugliest ports out there! Me at the ZX Spectrum version: I take it back, this one’s worse. Me at the Sega Master System version: The music sounds good, the game runs fast and smoothly, and the graphics aren’t too bad. But...who the heck are you playing as? It doesn’t look like a cop, it looks more like a generic, everyday citizen.
Yo no lo recuerdo en los salones recreativos españoles. En su momento sólo jugué el ESWAT de Mega Drive que poco tiene que ver con éste. En cualquier caso, me ha gustado bastante.
Hey where is the best version of the all! Sega Mega Drive version was simply amazing! So many wonderful hours spend with this game. Its different than these versions and I will say thankfully because I enjoyed it more than the Arcade one. That level one theme, Boss theme and the E-SWAT voice amazing! Actually the whole soundtrack was awesome now that I recall every tune in my head!
I am aware of the Mega Drive game and I loved it too (it was one of the first games I bought for that system and still have it) but it is not an Arcade port and that's why is discluded from the video.
I wasted money on the ZX Spectrum version. I was expecting it to play like Robocop (which has a great Spectrum conversion) and couldn't believe it was so utterly, utterly bad.
