I like how player 2 is colored red in the Attract Mode because it makes me think of some random Mountie from Canada who came down to shoot a bunch of criminals outside of his jurisdiction like in "Beverly Hills Cop".
Man Philadelphia was a mess in the late 80s. Maybe they need to bring back ESWAT so residents can feel safe around the stadium again. Safe from criminals, I mean. You can never feel truly safe around Eagles fans. That’s just a given.
This was so fun to watch 🤣 hilarious to see these old crime fighting games, the situations are always so extreme. The walking animation of our crime fighting protagonist is so clunky and awkward, I was expecting some kind of cool Batman or Robocop-esque walking style lol
Again, why couldn't sega have implemented such an engine for their console back then? I have always wondered this back in 1992 when I'd play the coin op arcades. It really makes no sense to me?? Im sure others must surely be asking same questions? When we have handheld emulators today that can run such console graphics as snk neo geo, dreamcast, N64, PlayStation and many more then why didn't consoles back then run the same graphics engines for genisis, snes??? 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔
I’d recommend putting some effort into reading about how graphics hardware on the MD and SNES worked. There were hardware limitations around palettes, sprite sizes, number of sprites and of course available memory on cartridges.
If Sega implemented arcade level hardware on the Genesis, the console would have been too expensive. Just see what happened to SNK. Their Neo Geo MVS couldn't compete because of that.
