Unless it was a design fault or by intention it's quite creepy how they still retain humanoid hands. Also has anyone else noticed that the actual eyes of the cybermen are still visible, intentional or design fault that went unnoticed?

Are we just going to ignore the Cyberman randomly trying on the guys coat after chopping him to death?

How fitting that the first appearance of the cybermen is _upgraded._

The Mondasian cybermen are really creepy but I can't have been the only one who laughed at how the cyberman just karate chopped those people

this is actually a very accurate colorization. A lot of colorizations I see get it a bit off and unnatural because they want to make it better. The fact is, what they do isn't how it would've looked to the people on set. This one is so incredibly faithful it's beautiful. It looks RIGHT.

It's eerie that we can see the eyes of that mondasian cyber man.

It’s kinda funny. It’s called “The Tenth Planet” because Mondas was meant to be the twin planet of earth. So it would be the 10th planet in the solar system. Since this was the 60s, Pluto was still a planet. Now we only have 8 planets in the solar system according to NASA because Pluto isn’t classified as a planet so Mondas would really have been the 9th planet.

Very good! If only the BBC could show the same commitment to restoring and improving these old episodes.

Hmmmm, TBH the colour seems to come and go which is a little disconcerting. The clip might be described as "lightly colourised" I'd love to see a more stable process in 4K

One thing I don’t get about their original designs is why they stil have human hands. They started replacing their bodies to combat the cold so technically the hands and feet would be the first to go since they would succumb to frost bite first.

I’m blown away! And sort of confused you have done an amazing job here, I’m not sure how difficult it is to do all this but it was worth it! Why can’t the BBC do this? I’ve been told they can’t upgrade the picture quality because of the type of film used back then? But I never understood why they didn’t colourise the 60s episodes? And you should get a job at the BBC!

Like how the coloring effects make the cloth masks look flesh colored. With these Cybermen still retaining alot of their human components it makes sense theu would try to appear more human.

AI for the upscale, its made it sharper but its really revealed the lack of quality and made it rather un-naturally smooth, AI for colour, every few frames are right, the rest vary a huge amount with huge colour flickers and issues for upscales in my personal opinion ever so slight AI just to sharpen maybe but only after the video raw has had a highpass filter put on it to sharpen it up a little bit without revealing too much the lack of quality in the original and not more than double the scale if it can be helped. the recolouring never AI unless its a single photo or a video clip that doesnt have much movement or luminosity changes in it, frame by frame is a ballache but it looks better than AI on alot of stuff

I liked the tenth planet Cybermen they were like mummies.

I've noticed a little continuity error with General Cutler's uniform. When we last see him in Episode 1 at 0:20, he's wearing the shirt he wears in nearly all his scenes in this serial. But when we continue on from this scene in Episode 2, Cutler suddenly wears the jacket he was wearing earlier in Episode 1. And also from Episode 2 onwards, he's now suddenly wearing his rank insignia on the left breast of his shirt, which he clearly isn't wearing here at all. So I'm wondering how Cutler took the time to put his jacket back on and put on his insignia while in the middle of interrogating the Doctor. "Now, perhaps we'll get to the bottom of this. *Oh wait, hold on, I forgot something. Don't go away old man, I'll be right back.* "😄
