The coolest thing for me was the fact that I was running a total Mantis Blades build, and I parried his very first attack on me. It felt so cinematic and cool.
I feel like this whole game is Metal Gear Rising 2. From sharing sword models, to straight up using a part of The metal gear exelcus boss instrumentals for the music in yorinobus strangulation.
Literally felt cinematic, parrying and going slow motion, up close to his piercing red face plate and glowing red mantis blades, double jumping around and sprinting circles around him while he came after me, it was breathtaking.
I used a mix of Widowmaker, quickhacking, knives and mantis blades and on very hard with a super squishy character at it was hype asf, Kerenzikov is made to be used in this fight, I really wasn't expecting such a well designed boss such as this
I played on hard difficulty, had a tough time and then Oda felt invincible. 20 tries. After defeating him I realised that i had hard difficulty set and face palmed.
His apprentice was too busy hiding inside a container because his rig was hacked harder than solarwind earlier this week. Real story, the guy one hit me..i had to cheat.
@@AlejandroGonzalez-ft4si Nice if noobs have fun haha But real gamer like me want a hard fight In my opinion you are just a noob and dont wanna learn something just wanna be the best who kills everyone 1hit 😅
When I killed Oda, I was hoping to get his armor, his blades and his mask. I ended up getting JUST HIS Legendary SHOES. when you fight a BOSS, you should be able to strip them of their garments. When I killed Placide, I got his Leather coat and his shotgun. That makes sense. It would be best if the game allows you to fully strip someone when you kill them. Partial strip (weapons ) when you let them live.
Oda was difficult for you? Really? Maybe I was just over leveled when I encountered him, seeing as level differences has some kind of hidden damage multiplier.
@@hermaeusmora424 I don't doubt that tbh. I can imagine someone who isn't like me doing all the side quests first would have a lot harder of a time handling that fight
I love how you can hear one of the other themes (the Arasaka theme perhaps if there's one. I don't really remember) slightly playing within but the whole thing is characterized for Oda. I love that every gang and major boss has it's own theme fitting very well to them
"In 2077, what makes someone a criminal? ( *repeatedly beating down an Arasaka elite cyberninja to submission, with a handheld pleasuring device* ) "Getting c o c c." -Keanu Reeves
Pop Khorne I’ve heard both and I think cyberpunks ost is better. Witcher 3 had great originality but its always the same violin, hurdy gurdy and pan flute and the musics really depressing
The only good A.I in this game, i died too many times. He basically can 2 shot combo you very fast (Very hard difficulty) if he manage to get close. Once you on long range he will rain you with smart bullet.
Is there a very hard difficulty after you beat the game or something? Int builds makes this game way too easy. He couldn't do anything to me because of quick hacks. Epic quality Cripple movement literally completely disables an enemy for like 8 seconds, just free headshots all day. Cyberware malfunction cripples their dashes, and Synapse Burnout does huge damage. You also start getting "Ultimate" quickhacks like Cyberpsycosis which makes an npc attack their own allies for like 20 seconds then if there are no allies left they commit suicide(although I think this part is bugged). All you have to do is get an Epic Cyberdeck early on, where there are really good ones available, although the best one for Quickhacks requires 48 street cred, the other epics are still really good though. In another play through I will be avoiding an Int build because it seems to be way too overpowered IMO. Cripple movement shouldn't have it's secondary effect from epic quality that disables them for like 8 seconds, it's just too damn good. If they nerf it so it doesn't do that to bosses then that would be a start.
@@menthols4625 all combat related builds, focusing on singular things tend to make you very very powerful very quickly. Though, int is very much oda's specific counter, and whilst other bosses like cyberpsychos can be taken down pretty easily with int, there are some that are a struggle (all bosses disallow suicide, system reset and cyberpsychosis, however all other quickhacks work) so long as you have a corner to hide in, int is op. Blades is incredibly strong and so is pistols/rifles and shotguns so long as you're using smart shotguns. Blunt seems to be a weaker version of blades more reliant on stuns rather the quick kills, and unarmed is genuinely useable with gorrilla arms. Full cool build also gets very op if you spec into all of coldblooded, but if your just doing stealth it actually makes things reasonably tough
Will always remember this boss fight. Raw adrenaline. Nothing more cathartic than walking up to him, revolver in hand, while he’s down. Mainly used the sniper during the fight, lol. Loved it.
I remember listening to this piece before the game came out. Marcin Przybyłowicz was showing off some new gear and this track was banging. T t t t tr t tr whaaaaauu!
Using monowire and my own camouflage when he used his made the fight feel cinematic as hell between partying his attacks, the two of us just attacking, jumping everywhere (double jump) and dodging. I really regret not recording that fight because it was honestly sick af
@@DAN007thefoxx1 Nope, I'd rather not fight Takemura, thanks. That goes double for when his implants work properly. Just nope. Nada. I was very underleveled for Oda and that boss fights sticks in my memory as an adrenaline fueled, mad, desperate rush to not die. Takemura taught Oda. Yea, my V would rather not.
this entire level is an exsample of what cyberpunk should have been all the way threw. the verticlaity the crazy trippy neon visuals the song before the fight the the fight it self.
This was shaping up to be an epic fight until he got bugged. Foot stuck on a platform and he couldn't move or attack. Oh well, at least the music was cool.
Had a pretty lackluster Katana build because I fought him early Unbroken Spirit perk and timed parries made it possible to stay on him in melee without a single Maxdoc / Kickback Forced him out of hiding with a tech sniper rifle and had much more blade-clashing fun with lots of slow-mo's. Fight took like 3 whole minutes and it was the most fun one in the game. Seeing others beating him in a few seconds, I am glad I fought him before I got OP.
Walked in under leveled and got flatlined twice, Oda's taking +40% of my 3 body build HP bar in one hit. Those combos are lethal. Third try i equipped a stack of flashbangs and when he ran off to regen i flashlocked him, before dropping him with Kongou head shots. Flashbangs are OP just like in pre-patch MH World.
I fought Oda with those Legendary Mantis Blades you can get in a container from an encounter with one of the Cyberpsychoes...I would 100% recommend doing the fight with Mantis Blades it feels so badass, still doesn't come close to the first time you meet Silverhand though...that reload animation still resonates ultimate badassery
this fight was a pain in the ass as someone who invested almost nothing in body (he could almost one hit me) and almost anything else in being a netrunner/stealth build (so lots of intelligence and cool). So my strategy involved getting the hell away from him, turning every once in a while, land a few shots or a quickhack or two. Repeat ad infinitum. I was so relieved when he finally was down. I was playing at night and just couldn't stop, I think it too me a good 2 hours to finally bring him down, glitches included where I killed him and couldn't proceed to the doors since I wouldn't get Takermuras call and so on... really annoying when that comes on top of a boss fight. The music and setting was fire though. I disliked most "boss fight" if you could call them it (i.e. Cyberpsycho Smasher), this was really well done.
when Adam Smasher punched through the gates I thought "oh right of course you're here" but when Oda showed up? "wait what's that orange facepl- FUUUCKK SHIT SHIT FUUCK SHIT *incoherent curses of shock awe fear and excitement*"
