Cyberpunk 2077 is not going to sustain itself. CD Projekt Red has promised us the world and delivered a mediocre product. The most notable things about it are the things surrounding it. And that's extremely sad.

Something that definitely raised an eyebrow from me was the missions doing jobs for the police. Like, what? Why? An element of cyberpunk that a recent class highlighted for me was there's an ominous shadow-in-the-background hanging as an antagonist. Typically technological (like an AI) or corporate in nature; militarized police could tie in as an extension of those. Especially in the current climate and public perception of police taking major shifts as we know it. It's extremely weird for a game claiming to be part of a genre that's known to be speculative, even taking unabashed capitalism to an extreme, and is what I see as a place for societal misfits and outsiders. It feels like the devs just like the look of the genre, but didn't really do their homework on why it is "punk" in the first place. A lot of little details that you mentioned in the video are very telling of that problem.

Very good review! You seem extremely knowledgeable and comfortable in front of camera/mic. I would say that my best piece of advice is to watch other people's content and make some RU-vid friends that you frequently collab with to cross audiences. I think that by making friends on RU-vid you will find loyal people that will support your content and help you settle into a creator community. That's what helped us grow in such a short time.

Thank you so much! Collaborating with other creators more is definitely a goal for me. I have a very odd schedule, so it's hard to make the time, but I want to make it a priority going forward.

Good review, i deffo get why you feel that way i would of liked to be a heavier set V Im doing the game unarmed at the moment as thats how i like to play and so far i like it but i want upgrades if there are any, Why cant we go 3rd person like even earlier games like fallout accomplished ? Anyway haha good review and i subbed hope your enjoying creating and merry christmas !

Unarmed feels like the way I should have gone. My approach ended up being really in favor of wading into battle and getting close shots, which was not the build I was making. Third person would have been AMAZING! I put all the work into my character and then barely saw her. Thank you so much! Merry Christmas! :)

Great review - such a crying shame what happened to cp2077. This is why I stopped pre-ordering games sometime around 2012. A lot of these projects are soulless cash grabs that need years of patching to bring you the game they advertised *cough* Anthem *cough*

No Man’s Sky springs to mind. I love that game a lot, but it’s launch version was absolutely not what it was advertised as.

YES! It’s a lovely game now, I put a cute amount of playtime into it! I feel like a precedent has been set where game companies can do this thing where they over-hype us, flounder on release, & then afford the luxury to resell the game in a state it should have been. Destiny was/is notorious for this practice, and honestly, i feel like the slope gets even moreso slippery everytime a new DLC is released. And honestly, I can’t wait till your channel blows up. You’re well informed and your takes are refreshing to hear. I nodded my head to every point you brought up in the video!

I think I was just expecting something else, and the game wasn't delivering. But I've also talked with people who are loving the game and are consistently playing it, even if it's not what they expected. I'm glad you're enjoying it!
